Best and worst meter builders in the game?

Has the game been out long enough for a definitive list to be made? The only character that I've seen get a lot of talk is Quan Chi but after that, I don't see many other names mentioned.

Kung Lao is definitely #1. That one string on block builds almost an entire meter.

Characters that rely on blockstrings, frametraps and general in your face pressure like cage tend to build it incredibly fast. Baraka especially, cause he's always getting the shit beat out of him.

Skarlet, Kabal, Kitana, Kung lao, Cage, Sonya. Mostly characters that are good in close, though you don't have to be good in close to be a good meter builder I guess.

Cage is either getting a shit ton of meter, or none at all.
Sonya gets meter everytime you press a button with her, so does Kabal and Skarlet.
KL is Ok, but he dont really need meter.
Baraka against high hitbox characters (especially CSZ) might be the fastest meter builder.

Some characters build meter fast by being spammed or taking a beating like Baraka (zoned), Jade (pressured). People forget about Mileena building meter fast too, she seems to have meters at all times.

honestly... the best meter builders are the ones who can incorporate an exMove into their own game. They tend to lengthen block strings which in turn build up meter... especially on hit.

About this...I have a project in the works for CSZ. Ever since I saw Mayo's vids...I was inspired to write up on CSZ.

Don't fall for the top five trend. It seems like such an odd number lol. name the top three or top ten characters. When i fight this characters it seems they always have meter or gain it pretty fast. I'll say the best are cage and sonya but they have to close the gap in order to do so. Kabal can do whatever he wants to gain meter.

Number one has to be kabal, he is the only character that can build meter anywhere, anytime on the screen. And 2nd has to be kunglao, his 212121 string does retarded damage on block and build meter.
I would put reptile up there too, I never have problem with reptile in building meter.
Cage isnt that good considering he would have no meter at all or have a lot of meter.

I was playing with Rain and he is a meter building machine. All the RH cancels and block strings = meter for days.

Im pretty sure jp 22, 1+2, F44, blade charge/slices with Baraka almost builds 1 whole bar.

Any sort of 2 hit string cancelled into his Df1 builds a ton of meter (and is safe on block for him).

I don't know why most of you don't think Jade can Build meter. Here 2,3,F2 string can be cancelled into shadow kick, and into d1, staff grab. Builds Hella meter.
