Techniques for reducing lag?

I play on Live, and the most frustrating thing by far is the lag. I'm not talking typical fps lag or skipping, I'm talking about the input delay. I played at my friends house the other day and his was much less delayed than mine. I have Cable internet with 14mbps download speed and 1.05mbps upload speed. I tried port forwarding Xbox live and any other ports i could find relating to MK9.

Tl;DR: Are there any ways of improving delayed inputs associated with playing online?

Do you have a wired or wireless connection? Wireless is garbage, no matter what dled speed you possessed. 001 combat code allegedly helps as well. Even with a wired connection its not going to be as responsive as offline play.

Put your 360 in a DMZ. Turn wireless off on your phones etc. or set them so they don't auto update or receive push mail. Lock down wireless devices by mac code. Don't leave twitch.tv streams running on your PC ;) (I've done this)

There is no way to completely remove the lag. Mortal Kombat's netcode and online in general is just awful. The game is only playable at a casual level online. Even if you have a very solid connection, if you run into someone with a mediocre connection it's still gonna lag badly. Find an offline scene instead and focus on that if you wanna level up.

Maybe your TV has input lag, it makes things look like they're coming a bit late when u press buttons, even when u dont have much lag ingame

Best technique:

Put your hand around back of 360 (this tech is compat with PS3's as well) and remove the ethernet cord from your system. Use it to dry clothes, jump rope, keep your pants up or even boot laces in some cases. Thats about the only good it will ever give you so dont lose out.
