Yooo lmfao you are absolutely.......right . I haven’t checked the frame date on his bf2 amp but if it is indeed -7 then yeah sub geras and erron can check it. I don’t think he’s a terrible character I do think he’s at least top 15, however the low damage always bothers me. It’s apparent when I play people and don’t have kbs ready to go it’s like they play yolo I eat 33%, I punish em they eat 15-18%. That def gets old

Edit: also fix his damn plus frames like you said!! I’m supposed to be a rushdown god but I’m +1 at best and Johnny can be plus a billion and zone me out, doesn’t make sense

but it's no wonder in tournaments he's rarely picked, and when he is, it's only for a short while. He's like a top hat, you keep bringing out new gimmicks to keep your opponent guessing but eventually you run out and you have fuck all to show. If you look at VGY's tournament footage he's rarely ever mixing anyone up, he just plays footsies for a while until he can run away with a life lead lol. What a rushdown beast. Then he just picks NW or Shao who like, have combos and stuff.
and yet you have MORONS on here swearing f33 1+3 is the most busted mixup in the game. foh.

Fucking Sonicfox swore he was S+ tier then dropped him like a turd, just like with Scarlet. Now they're lower down on his tierlist.

I'm not naming anyone, but a shocking amount of people seem to struggle against Jax, and then complain about how his grabs are untechable or whatever.

He is predictable if you make him predictable. For example you guys say things like f33 1-3 has a gap but u can counter that by doing f33 gotchagrab or what its called or his fireball if u have resources.
He might have bad mu's for sure but there is nothing wrong not mid/top 10 or whatever tier he is.

thats the thing they dont have too they can just block high and punish or take their turn. the low only does 70 dmg on hit and doesnt give jax any setup afterward. the opponent can just walk back after been knock down,jump back or roll back and its their turn.

im not down playing jax , i have around 600 hours with him on pc and ps4 and i can tell you he needs help.

Also what is the point of F42 been +6 and a high. there is no way to force anyone to block high after f4. it should be a mid and if you think its too good give it a FB window and take it off the F2 1+3. At least jax would have a way to force the opponent to not mash or jump.

That's not even the problem lol.
I'd be fine with it being a high, at least you'd have b4 bf2 and f42 as a mixup. The problem is THAT IT ISN'T EVEN A HIGH, it just whiffs on everyone crouch blocking. It's broken.

He already covered this in his description. This is what people mean by "high risk, low reward". So maybe you land a grab.. Vs. risking 30+% of your life (or more against certain chars when they have KB/FB loaded). It's hard to make the opponent fear a wrong read if the penalty for being wrong is so low.

If you look at what im asking for that wouldnt make him broke or even top 10 it would make him at least viable.

I would rather have mkx Jax than this mk11 jax right now.

yes at high level i dont think jax is viable , take sonicfox tier list as a base example i would had put Jax A tier with sub and erron if we follow his logic.

*Edited , a character that win only 3 mu in the game cant be considered anything but low tier. Tier list are made on mu not tools.

gotcha grab is god like to anti air her leaping bullshit. also jax bf4 is good and hurts againts that
at neutral jax wins imo cause of his zoning, get your arm up a little and zone force her to dash punch or leap and punish
up close they are even imo cause jax can reversal quad grab at anytime with her staggers. Jax also can , can of punish her dasn punch by gimmick reversal quad grab or strikes.

but up close she hits way harder anyway thats just my opinion.

Fuck the Johnny matchup lol.
Johnny's biggest weaknesses are small hurtboxes and characters who either outbutton him or outzone him. Jax is none of those things, literally the perfect punching bag for Johnny.
