I wonder if the 2~rising star link is as good as sayyyyy, S3 or S4 into rising star. I'd test, but I wont be at my PS4 for a while.
Good call, I'd like to test that as well but....work :( I bet S3 would be a good option, I feel like every time I've tried to incorporate a S4 into a corner BNB shit starts whiffing.

Well, I did some combos using s4 in the corner, but seems like it isn't worth it as it scales a bit more.

Question: are you trying to take advantage of amped Rising Star frames?
Since for the sake of damage I would do something like this (j2 34 FBC 34 NutpunchMB f3 2 2 2 121 RisingStar) which does 44% using only one bar.

Nice! Yeah I was just testing to see what we could get off of Rising Star. It still seems that the standard "F3,2,2,2 121 SK" combo in the corner is the best way to cash out and save the bar. I just love the animation of amp RS, it's so fucking swaggy!

*edit I like the multiple D1's you did too. Good shit.

Looks like Low Amp FB's are 0 on block, and there are 2 different inputs?

Watching Scars stream and he's going through it too quick but it looks like an amp version and a back+amp version?
 
ohhhh I'm aware. This guy was abusing that as well. I started to switch it up and attempt staggers, F3, pause, D1...maybe a throw attempt. Dude was like a jedi though, he'd poke me out.
b3 is great against Erron because players love using d4 to stop your approach. that's all i got. definitely don't think it's worse than a 5-5.
 
And by the way, the forceballs do not whiff on more than half the cast. They whiff on 8 characters all the time (sonya, skarlet, cassie, frost, dvorah, kitana, jacqui, and johnny himself).

On 4 characters (Kabal, raiden, shang, and kollector), they're inconsistent or only the first one hits.

And on 15 characters, they jail every time (jax, lao, liu kang, geras, shao, kotal, kano, cetrion, scorpion, sub, erron, nightwolf, baraka, noob, and jade).

That's 12 whiffs or inconsistencies vs. 15 jails.

That's what I'm talking about. Outtakes force balls completely whiff on crouch blocking Erron. They seem really good as a zoning tool but not a pressure tool. Check Kombats stream

Low forceball is -18.
Too bad it still whiffs.

It doesn't whiff from f4 and f21 but is -18 and amplify guarantee whiffs.

Low fb whiffs on all distances vs crouch block except full screen.

Rising shoulder still whiffs.

Tested only against female hitboxes as that's what you will face when counterpicked in torneys.

Frames are identical. 14 frame mid, -5
The rest are the same or nerfed, I looked only for buffs at startup, the rest I just uninstalled the game.

Everything still whiffs the same in the old variations btw.

Zero KB in his third var except nut and d2.

P.s. Kano got a 13 frame advancing mid +1 on block.

yeah third variation is whack, Show Stopper still the best though. Probably can keep this variation for hard zoning MUs and that's it. Too early to tell but the loss of KBs and reliable forceballs is not good.

This is pretty disheartening. I honestly don’t give a fuck that you can’t use forceballs or amped forceballs after a string, but to have them completely whiff is ridiculous. This is clearly a variation designed to zone....and he can’t do it any better than he did before.

What was the point of this variation?
