Wisconsin- Does anyone even play here??

Just looking for people to play with really....I'm near La Crosse so chances r I won't find anyone on here willing to work with, but it's worth a shot.

I started with Sindel, but I'm finding there are a lot of limitations with her, and some really bad matchup problems with some of the more popular played characters right now, so I'm trying to find a new main.

Oh absolutely I remember you. You were such as awesome person to talk to at the tournament. Commentary was fun. Very glad you're picking up MK9. Super fun game. Hopefully we'll all get together soon. Probably in August at the next GnG tournament.

For those of you capable of travel there are regular fight nights and tournaments going on in the Minneapolis, MN area. If you guys ever get anything organized in WI feel free to let me know and I'll roll through with a couple MN players.

No activity in here for a while...Well might as well hope someone checks up. I just moved to WI and am looking to keep playing SOME fighter competitively. All my other games have scenes over in Maddison with me living in West Bend. If anyone would be up for games I can host or travel a bit but I need warning ahead of time. I'm pretty scrubby tbh, and have never played MK offline except at Summer Jam 5 in casuals.
I've been playing online quite a bit as of late so feel free to add me under Sephalump on PSN.
I play Cyber Sub, Scorpion, and I'm trying to pick up Mileena and Ermac. However I'm a scrub still. With limited match up knowledge. Also can't do Scorpion and Ermac's flashy combos online so expect nothing impressive off them if we play through psn.

Hey what's up. Sorry I missed this post a while ago. Yeah I'm from WI too, Racine. I'd be down for some casuals offline. I also have other friends who'd be down to play as well. Some in Milwaukee and a few buds in Racine (if I can get ahold of them).

well brother, there a small tournament every month in milwaukee's south side, the next one is this saturday at romines or how ever is spelled lol on south 27th st milwaukee wi.

i will be there along with my son, and soonk and waffles from IL along with another friend Kevin Fair will be travelling here, theres also about 4 players that usually go to the tournaments.... is not much, but at least if you want my help to try and build a scene here, lets do it...not many people seem interested in doing so but me, but i cant do it alone :(

so let me know, and feel free to PM me your phone so we can get incontact and ill help in what ever shape or form i can .

hope to see you there brother.....we need to get the ball rolling here...not many mk9 players, just sf and marvel crap all the time.

I play on Xbox 360, however, I do use a Ps2 pad for it so I'm fairly familiar with the Playstation's setup for MK. I'm not bad, not the greatest. Certainly not as good as Superi0rMagiK, Pecka Powa or any of the other top players that I play with but I do have a very mean Rain. Nowhere near as good as my man, Book Burning but I'm tryin'.

Anyway, if you're interested I'd be down to get together and play some MK one day. You say you're not very good but I always thought that to and there isn't much stopping you from being as good as most of the good players who play online.

Let me know, man. I'm 19th on the leaderboards for Xbox 360 (really doesn't mean a whole lot though), I live in Shawano, WI (near Green Bay) and I'm willing to help anyone at this game that I can. Send me a PM if you're interested.

I'd be very interested in this if you send me some details. I consider myself to be a few notches below some of the top players online and I really tend to surprise a lot of people with my game. I've never played in an offline tournament yet so I'd be down to travel if the turnout is good. I live about three hours away from Milwaukee, didn't know there was much of a scene. I was even going to make a post about this to see who would come up from Chicago if I got a tournament organized.

Anyway, I'm very interested in knowing how many people will show up for an MK Tournament in Wisconsin and I'm looking to make a few friends that play this since everyone else in this area plays Modern Warfare or NBA 2K. Heh

well wafflez and i are coming up this weekend to romine's. most of the chicago guys don't want to come up because your scene is so small, we'll just end up playing each other. we'll see what this weekend's turnout is like.

I'm definitely going to try. Been looking for nearby competition; the Mortal Kombat scene is dead (it seems) around these parts. Would love to see if I'm any good against the rest of you guys around here. I've never played offline too much so I don't know how much of a difference it truly makes but I will tell you -- I've got a lot of pride in my game but not to the point where I can't respect people who are not only better than me but are still trying to learn, too.

If you don't mind me asking: who do you use, soonk? I can't remember that name (soonkdelgado).

online i use a few, i may have used kabal or sub zero. it was a while ago and i don't expect you to remember every set of matches, i just remember your name.

You can count me in on trying to make a scene. I've been pretty active in another offline scene in the Chicago area until last summer when my life got crazy. We had about 3-5 regular but a bunch of friends that weren't so serious with playing would occasionally stop by. Since my life is starting to level out again I'm up for games.
I personally love playing against other people and the social aspect of fight games so I'm up to travel to get them. I can't really make this weekend though. My family(I'm 18 and still live with a parent) are heading down to the windy city to visit friends. Since I said I wanted to stay home to catch a new season of a show I like they asked if I'd watch the house and pets. Said yeah which ended up binding me to the house for this weekend. T_T I don't have a way to get to Milwaukee with them gone so I'll have to hit up next week's. Sorry for this weekend falling through for me.

Hey guys, I live in Chicago currently but will actually be moving up to WI in the fall. I'll be around Franklin/Hales Corners and since I don't really know anyone there, I would love to make some new friends and play MK.
