Krypt since 1.07 patch

I hope everyone is enjoying the new patch. I thought I would check out the Krypt as it says its easier to find the gears/skins/intros/victories you want but I seem to be struggling a bit. I have put back so many boxes, opened them, put them back and then returned them again to still not get what I was looking for.

I'm looking for Liu Kangs intros and victory in the Throne Room. Any help would be awesome.

The shrine gives only augments, Kollector trades only life crystals. I think they scrapped it and will give all skins and gear through towers of time.

You mean the blindfold chest under the stairs? The only other place in the Krypt to get that is his head spike.

The krypt shrine only gives augments when you've taken the item that was in that spot. Think of it like every piece of gear you get is replaced by an augment in the loot pool. With this method NRS can keep rare items rare and still give you something. I've probably spent a few billion at shrine. (sadly not sure if i'm embellishing that fact)

I just got Geras’s Severed Head from doing a tower and it’s listed as a krypt key item right next to Kahn’s hammer and Kenshi’s blindfold, does anyone have it as well and if so what is the purpose?

Geras’ Severed Head is used in the area where you have all the huge statues of the OG Mortal Kombat characters. Theres a wall that allows you to impale the heads of the cast and receive awards from a chest. I’m sorry if my descriptions are off, just look in that general area and you’ll find it.

Yes the ones you get from killing each character like 20 times or something I have all of those including Geras’s(I did the exploit a while ago). Unless maybe when doing it the right way gifts you with their head in the krypt inventory?

You get kharacter heads after performing 50 fatalities on any one kharacter. You place the heads at a shrine opposite the Goro and kombatants statues, near the door leading to Goro’s lair. Placing a number of these heads on their corresponding spikes unlocks a secret area in the krypt.

I think I might not have articulated well enough which is my mistake. A better question would be; when you perform 50 fatalities on a character, does their head show up in the krypt guy’s inventory?

Beats me, I hardly ever do fatalities but, probably?

Spent millions upon millions of koins trying to find Kabal's Klassic Mask. Still having no luck. Even after the patch, it still has the basic "In the Krypt" hint message

Alrighty thanks guys I was a shit head and did a that old exploit at launch to skip the grind so I was never aware of the actual process lol

the klassic kabal mask can definitely be obtained through the new tower reward system - that's how i got it. just keep at it, and you'll eventually unlock it.
