Im not really seeing a difference here, some people it will work for and others it wont. If I did this on my tv it would never work as for my monitor with nearly no delay is works easily
what happens when you play online with noticeable lag?Im not really seeing a difference here, some people it will work for and others it wont. If I did this on my tv it would never work as for my monitor with nearly no delay is works easily
i'm going to test this method as well when i'm homeI think what @Under_The_Mayo is saying is tapping the button as soon as your character starts moving will also work, because that's the normal timing for getup attacks. You don't have to wait for that particular frame in the tutorial to input.
no, as soon as your character is risingSo let me get this straight....as soon as you hit the floor from a knockdown, you start holding the buttons to wakeup for it to come out once the window is active?
Does the length button affect it at all? Ya know, the long, medium, or short input window option.
Ok. I'll give it a try because wakeups in this game are fucking stupid w/ these botches/ Hopefully this helps me. But regardless, appreciate you, sir. Righteousno, as soon as your character is rising
I guess I have good internet the lag hasnt effected me much lol.what happens when you play online with noticeable lag?
@Eddy Wang I'm testing this and correct me if I'm wrong, or if I've misunderstood your video, but this has nothing to do with "holding" the button. It's about hitting the buttons at the early point of the input window. You're hitting it and holding it to wait for the wakeup to come out. But if you hit it with the same time and RELEASE the buttons, the wakeup still come out at the same time after waiting. So really, you're just demonstrating the right input timing of a wakeup, not a trick about holding.
i will run the same kind of test once i'm home. and its not when character is knocked down, its as soon as your character starts rising.I think I'm joining @Under_The_Mayo on that, but correct me if I'm wrong. If you hold the inputs before the wake-up timing window, you won't get anything, and if you hold it during the window, it's just similar to pressing the inputs once. I only tested it in training mode with online input delay, but I don't think it matters. If you miss the window, input delay or not, you won't get the wake-up, even if you hold the buttons.
Exactly, unfortunately you still need to time the input for wakeup rolls. You do it too early = delayed wakeup.@Eddy Wang I'm testing this and correct me if I'm wrong, or if I've misunderstood your video, but this has nothing to do with "holding" the button. I don't know about rolls, but you can also mash out wake-ups. Just hold Up and mash on 2 or 3. It works very consistently for me.So basically just hold down the button combination for the wakeup for it to come out.
This works with rolls u2, u3, everything.

If I'm understanding this right, I think the difference is, say you miss the window for the beginning (first) input. Normally you'll stand there like a doof and get combo'd when you wanted to roll. With this, even though you missed it, you're holding it down so by the time you reach the "middle" input window, it is activated and you get the roll you wanted.Yes, exactly. But that's just the appropriate wakeup input timing. You don't have to hold the buttons to make this work. There's a window for inputting wakeups. You can input it at the beginning, middle, or end. You're hitting it at the beginning and holding the buttons, but holding them doesn't affect it at all. Just tapping it causes the same effect. Have you been able to check it yet?
No, because holding it literally does nothing. If you hit it before the beginning of the window, holding it will not activate it. If you hit it after the window, holding it will not activate it. You just have to hit it in the window, and it will activate. There is no gap between early, middle and late timing. This is just an amount of frame. If you input it frame 1, wake-up will come out, holding or tapping does not influence that. Same goes if you input on the last frame. And if you input it even 1 frame too early, it just won't work, nothing's gonna change that.If I'm understanding this right, I think the difference is, say you miss the window for the beginning (first) input. Not yet, just arrived at home and starting my console, will definitely check it out bro.Yes, exactly. But that's just the appropriate wakeup input timing. This definitely works and it seems to be the correct way of doing it, so what happens is the input window its much bigger than just what they've shown in the tutorial, or by the time the freeze the window in the tutorial it might be the latest possible window to activate a wakeup.@Eddy Wang I'm testing this and correct me if I'm wrong, or if I've misunderstood your video, but this has nothing to do with "holding" the button. Yeah my way of doing it has been a double tap. If im early, i get the second one in the window. This definitely works and it seems to be the correct way of doing it, so what happens is the input window its much bigger than just what they've shown in the tutorial, or by the time the freeze the window in the tutorial it might be the latest possible window to activate a wakeup.
Thanks for cleaning that up, just really hope after this no one cries about wakeups anymore.
