Who is the best male ninja?

Well, who is the top ranked male ninja match up wise? I would have to say it's either Smoke or Reptile, and I'm leaning toward Smoke. What does the community think?

Figured as much. I've met some really, REALLY good Noobs though. They make Saibot look straight retarded good with the portal shenanigans and 50/50 zoning.

Scorpion has arguably the best 50/50's in the game.
Sub-Zero is a defensive, Clone-making fortress.
Reptile has Elbow Dash mobility and super-solid zoning.
Ermac has his TK combos, and can cut you in half with a mixup off of one punch.
Rain can do the same, but with more mobility and less need for meter.
Smoke cannot be zoned. And he has a vicious, calculating offensive bag of tricks.
Noob Saibot, when used to his maximum, has some of, if not the best zoning tools in MK9, and the GTFO Kick.

They all look useful to me. It's just a matter of the right style of player putting them in motion.

If I had to pick a #1, my vote goes to Smoke.

I don't know where to place Rain, Ermac, and Noob, but I don't think they're as good as Scorpion.
I guess I'm wrong about Sub Zero being good?
I do think Noob is the worst Ninja though.

IMHO Scorpion has better rush down than Ermac, and his combos generally do more damage on average, and always leave Scorpion in a reset type situation.
The only thing Ermac does better is zoning.

Idk dude play [MENTION=7140]KamikazeJD[/MENTION] he makes ermacs rushdown look just as good if not better than scorpions.

Edit: btw i think reptile and smoke are tied for best ninja.

It is all relative to who you play.

I think Rain is probably the best overall. He just is not used at all really in offline play. I think smoke is also right up there with Rain. They probably share.

I just think once you get an understanding of how his tools work with the game... he is just a tank. I wish someone would bring him back into the offline scene seriously. I think he dominates some matches with sheer force. He is going to have meter, its how you use it that matters. CD jr. showed how potent he is early on. Hopefully BookBurning can bring some of that fear back.

Seriously though, if we are basing this off of tools against other characters, there is no doubt he has the best set. Both with normals, specials and exSpecials.

All the male ninjas are talented in their own areas of fighting, but if I had to elect one as the best, I'd go with...hmmm...

Smoke (with his current F4 reset) is top tier imo, not only among ninjas.

Then, among ninjas, they're pretty much in the tier. Maybe Rain and Reptile a little bit higher, but then I think of Scorpion and then I see Sub-Zero.

It's a pretty balanced roster imo.

I would say smoke and reptile even though sub zero is my boy. I think when the game first came out it was sub because not many people had armor to get through the ice clones. I've actually been playing scorpion lately and I think he might be up there too.
