Sonya Blade Official Combo Guide V.1

How y'all feel about ending our combos with fireball, so you can get your Zonya on. Good space and you can even amp it and hold it so the second one hits when they get up.

That would be beautiful but I can't work out a string that will accommodate that krushing blow energy ring.
 
I still believe her b2 combos are heavily underused . Im having good results canceling the b234 and allows you to keep them guessing .

Do you mean just using her B2 strings? The problem with her B2 strings is the gap between all the hits is massive and you can just be poked out of it.

So, this is building off of what Rex found and also posting some of Sonic's tech from his stream last night. Not only can Sonya combo off her b14 with an AMP ring cancel into 134, she can also cancel into b123 for some massive 1 bar and 2 bar damage. For example:

b14 xx bf1 AMP cancel b123, 3, 3, 3, 333 xx db2 = 444.07 for 1 bar

b14 xx bf1 AMP cancel b123, 3, 3, 134 xx db2 AMP, 333 xx bf4


You can cash out on both bars for a kill if you need it, or you can just spend one and end in 333 xx db2/333d4/333 xx bf4 to have the threat of being able to do the exact same 50/50 again. Also should we have an abbreviation for the AMP energy ring cancel? like ERC or something? It's kind of tedious to type out.

Its so hard for me to get it consistently haha. gotta up my combo skills

Ok so something is not right ... You guys are getting 431 in the corner but im getting 410.... did they nerf here damage orrr am i missing something?

im doin b123 33 123 db2 amp 333 bf4 - 410.... wut
B123, 3, 3, 134 db2 amp... 333 bf4 or 333d4

So if I understand correctly, the opponent has to worry about a low into a full combo in the corner with

B3U4xxERC into damage

Or duck B1 to avoid a guess between B12 (launch overhead) and B14 (low ERC into damage)

Right? If I wanted to get better how would I try to play the mind game in the corner. Whats the mixup and how would I enforce it without an overhead? Please help me figure this out I actually want to try and learn.

Ok thanks I dont mean to sound dumb, but how would I discourage them from simply ducking B1? Is that where B3 comes in?
honestly it''ll be hard to really conditon someone with her because her b1 is a high. so you will get hit by pokes.. A LOT. i like combating this by using f3 to low crush lows and then go into my b12 offense when they respect the f3 by ducking low alot. It opens em up for getting hit by b123 OH
 
Loving these ERC combos. I was so disappointed becasue i felt like combos were so basic inthis game. So much for that

My answer to opponents neutral ducking or trying to low poke when I have pressure is f4, the button is low key so good. It’s 10f, can get good damage if you do the grab and 222 and it’s only -3. Not to mention it’s +14 on hit so b1 jails off it on hit if you want a guaranteed mix in the corner.
