Hitbox + PC - Seems to have all wrong buttons layout?

Hi there... I've been trying to use my hitbox on PC... but all the buttons are jumbled up.. so pressing "a" is actually "b" for example....

Anyone know how to fix this?

That happened to me too, and it would even swap my buttons at the beginning of every match, so b3 was b4 and vice versa. Today it started working like normal, though.

Try playing a match and spamming b3 when it starts to see if you have the same problem as I did.

You can try setting your hitbox to different modes. Unplug it and hold 1+3 while you plug it in. If that doesn’t work, try 2+4.

none of those issues seem to work.... it is at the input level.. like

1 = b and 2 = a for example... this is even in the menus.

I do not think it is a MK11 issue as I have has this in other games as well, but I can not seem to fix it on the hitbox.

No, that's exactly what happened to me. I kept accidentally exiting and confirming because my buttons were reversed for the entire game, menus and everything.

SOLUTION​
IN SHORT
Go into STEAM SETTINGS and set your controller settings to ONLY have "Generic Gamepad Configuration Support" ticked.

IN DETAIL

  1. Do not do anything to the INI.. leave it default as "ON". So make it ON if you edited the thing and set it to OFF.
  2. Open steam... then click on settings.
  3. Click on the CONTROLLERS category
  4. Click on GENERAL CONTROLLER SETTINGS
  5. TICK "Generic Gamepad Configuration Support"
  6. UNTICK everything else
  7. Click BACK or CLOSE WINDOWS
  8. CLOSE settings.
STILL NOT WORKING?

Now it should work as intended.... but make sure you HitBox is in the correct mode... pressing 1+5 or 1+3 will boot the HitBox into two different modes.. I guess XInput and DirectInput or something.

You want the HitBox to be recognised by windows as HITBOX CTHULHU+ .... when in the wrong mode it has a completely different name in control panel and stuff.

Simply try booting the HitBox into both modes and see which on works.
