MK11 Story Discussion Thread (obvious spoilers)

This thread is for the discussion of Mortal Kombat 11's story mode for when the game is released.

There are obviously going to be spoilers in here, so if that's what you're wanting to avoid, why are you even here, y'know? Stay out if you don't want to be spoiled. Things will NOT be put in spoiler tags unless the person posting so chooses.

If you come in here and get spoiled, it's your own fault, so don't complain, file a report, DM a staff member, etc. You're here of your own volition and can't "accidentally" spoil yourself by coming here. The thread title alone is warning enough and then you'd have to scroll past this initial post to begin seeing spoilers. You've been warned.

As for everyone else that wants to discuss the story, this is the only place to be doing so outside of DMs. Enjoy. :)

For me it's not about the story spoilers

It's about in-game spoilers. As of now we don't know anything about the game modes, and if someone reveals that certain characters can be unlockables, that is a spoiler and that I'm trying to steer clear.

That would coincide with story spoilers, I'd imagine. The unlockable characters, I mean. Game modes? Couldn't care less. That's not really something to get up in arms over.

I hope some story leaks are true because they sound amazing.

I think maybe not a Elder God, but , a God at the level of Raiden, immortal, and maybe, replacing Raiden's function as protector of Earthrealm .... what put an interesting "what the hell" doubt what about might gonna happen to Raiden story cycle inside MK franchise from now and then .... :eek:

I can't remember right now if he or any other human character got ascended to Protector/God/Demigod in non-canon ladder endings. Maybe now this is a thing! I'll have to search for it.

So instead of dealing with the actual fucking problems like Shinnok, Liu Kang and Kitana, or Kronika, they'll take guy actually trying to do something about it and tie him up with so much red tape that he can't anymore? ...yup, sounds exactly like something the Elder Gods would think up.

Seriously, where are the spoilers. There should be at least one spoiler before a spoiler thread is made. Can we put a [NO SPOILERS] tag in the thread title?

Not yet. But Sektor and Cyrax were allegedly confirmed by @Chernyy Volk
In principle it looks legit apart from the ending - we now know that there are at least 2 endings. So it could be that Kronika 'armageddons' everyone in the 'bad' ending.

Someone is uploading eleven minutes of the story mode, Chapter 1, Cassie.

The first two fights are:
-Kabal
-Kitana

Cutscenes will include the assault on the Netherrealm and Raiden being surrounded by Onis.
