So I’ve been playing Geralt because I’m not very good at fighting him so I figured I’d play him to learn how he works.

1. He’s really fun and has great neutral.

2. Holy shit why are there so many laggy Amy players in lower ranks that T-bag all the time.

3. I can confirm that parrying an Amy player who t bagged you and then ringing them out off the parry is very satisfying and happens a lot.

Alright, I’ll make a gif of one of the times it happened because I recorded it since I read the Amy player when I parried.

I will say, laggy Amy really isn’t as annoying as laggy Mi-Na or Groh or any other character who gets a 50/50 that doesn’t exist offline when there is lag.

Edit: Also, I guess the ONLY reason I'm somewhat okay with Geralt's ring-out ability is that he can ONLY do it off 66B+K, which is only guaranteed off of his parry because it's i28.

I take it back, he can ring you out over half walls even if he can't see them when he parries, just call him Kilik or Ivy.

At least Geralt needs half a bar of meter and a successful parry to do it, Kilik is just like "lmao 3B goodbye"

My real problem with the ring out games of some characters is how much better it is than the majority of the cast. Raphael basically can't ring you out unless you're touching the ring edge or he CHs you with 66B at an angle favorable to him, and Tira you have to be touching the edge for her to ring you out and only with like her 3B.

Meanwhile, Kilik, Ivy, and Mi-Na can ring you out from almost mid-stage from multiple different attacks, Zas has about 6 different attacks that reverse ring out, including his front AND back throw, Sieg can also ring you out from pretty far (at least the edge has to be visible). I think the ONLY non high tier character with a good ring out game is Taki.

I was just accused by a D2 ranked Zas I just played on my G3 Geralt of being a B rank smurf from PC, I'm dying; apparently my Geralt is too good. I told him if I had the game on PC I would never play it on PS4 except to play people I know because PS4 netcode sucks.

If anyone is interested, this is some great high level Siegfried vs Zas play, it makes me realize how strong Zas also is.

Sadly I'm at the point where I feel this game is on life support for Uncle JBeezY. Online has gotten worst and y'all know the online experience is EVERYTHING to Uncle JBeezY because I don't go to locals or tournaments often.

Every update this game has had thus far they would have some good things to move the game forward, but bad things to take the game backwards. Starting to believe they don't know how to handle their game and its started to show ALOT.

Edit: Have you tried playing with someone like @Vslayer? Maybe the two of you would have a good connection and could have some good matches. I’d always be willing to play sometime as well, I’m just trying to work with the provider here right now to get a wired connection in my dorm atm.

The universal GI change was an odd choice, to the extent they went with it. Losing stam on a successful GI is stupid. It mostly turned tiers on their ass. Mi-Na got buffed by the change, sieg and NM got buffed by it, so did Azwel (so I’m told by everyone I talk to in discord). Raphael probably got better because his evade lets him completely avoid guard damage in situations others would have to eat it.

I honestly think Project Soul has done a better job balancing SC6 than NRS did with Injustice 2 or MKX, and I genuinely like Ij2, none of the characters feel like shit to use, there are no match ups that are truly terrible. Like 7-3s in SC6 feel pretty winnable, whereas Harley’s 7-3’s felt like shit to play because you couldn’t do anything. Ivy, Sieg, Mi-Na, and Kilik are definitely too strong right now, but fighting them feels way better than pre patch Black Adam, Deadshot, Aquaman, or Catwoman. Or even post buff Firestorm and Supergirl.

Don’t even get me started on MKX’s top tiers, and I even used one of them.

I don't think anyone actually knows how good or bad Amy is yet. Also her super is ridiculous once she has roses, it becomes an 80 damage i16 with red roses (which are super easy to get) and once she has purple it's a 90 damage i12, I think her i12 6A+B+K CE being like 50 damage is balanced though. Once she has purple rose she's one of the strongest characters in the game, but Amy players are still developing a solid gameplan for reliably getting there.

Edit: My point really is that Amy is way too new for anyone to know how good she is, I'd give it at least another 2 months at the earliest before we know anything at all on her tier placement, it's not like an NRS game where we normally find out who is good within 3-4 weeks of a patch.

Edit 2: I hate editing my posts this much but I hate cluttering threads more, what do you mean Mi-Na is a nightmare "now", that bitch has been the only consistently top tier character in Soul Calibur 6 since launch except for MAYBE Ivy and Kilik.
