Soul Calibur 6: THE SOUL STILL BURNS!

Last time I saw him (or anyone for that matters) I could see that he lacked MU experience, but this time I just think Bluegod outplayed him. I'm seriously impressed.

Link tried everything too, in Winner’s finals he even switched to Amy to try and capitalize on lack of MU knowledge, but it was still a 3:0, which is surprising, because link is an insanely good player.

Did you guys know Taki can set herself up for a guaranteed unblockable off almost every stun? It’s like tacking 50 damage onto every LH combo that starts out with you standing. I had no idea until I started messing around with her for fun and joined the Taki discord.

Edit: It does take execution that would make a Raphael player’s fingers fall off, but it’s a ton of damage, I can’t even do a perfect PORC to get the set up yet.

We’re gonna have to get some games in before April 23rd Beezy. After that everyone is going to be grinding MK11, more than likely myself included.

So, her unblockable set-up just straight up adds 50 damage to all of her combos that she can use PORC in, it also works off her A+B on normal hit, counter hit, and LH, you can't ukemi and you can't roll out of the way in time.

It also connects off 6BB, which you can combo into out of possession with PORC.

The 6BB off of PORC is most commonly converted off of like A:6 LH, instead of doing 3B after the LH (like I did in the gif below), you do 4BA46 41236B G(aka PORC) 6BB 6[B+K] turnaround 21436B apparently it's like 120ish damage off an i10 sidestep punish.

I don't really play much Taki or against many Taki players, but the amount of execution she requires for max damage is pretty fascinating to me.

Idk, Kilik is undoubtedly still a good character, and his aGIs are way more valuable this patch, but I have legitimately only fought one Kilik since the patch dropped and I mopped him, so I honestly forgot about the character, he’s still dumb though

I personally think nobody even comes close to Kilik. He's got the best of everything, similarly to MK9 Kabal, but less so obviously.

I don’t think he has the BEST of everything, persay, he has worse guard damage than Mi-Na, Sieg, and Groh, his pressure is worse than Raph’s or Maxi’s, his damage output relies pretty heavily on pokes outside of SC, his aGIs are in the top 3 best in the game though for sure, he also has either the best or second best SC behind Mi-Na’s. Kilik is a pretty godlike jack of all trades, but he’s not really the absolute best at anything besides probably safety and pokes

I have no idea who that is. I rarely see the same person online twice, I've seen an A rank Nightmare like 3-4 times, once when I had just started playing Tira again and I just fought him again today as my first match ever as Geralt lmao.

He got upset, found my Instagram account to send me hatemail through ANOTHER ACCOUNT because i blocked his first one. His pressure isn't as oppressive as Maxi's or Raphael's, but it's definately safer, and honestly better too. Raphael preparation basically puts the opponent in a favorable 3 way mix up, while Maxi's has a lot of holes once you know the MU and where to look.

What else? His lows are only second to Amy's, his WR buttons are second to none and his Soul Charge is the best in the game absolutely free, not even arguable after this last patch.

Also his evasion is amazing: every single one of his buttons either a tech crouch, a tech jump that jumps mids for some reasons, a tech step or multiple of those combined, and that's on top of being extremely safe on everything, since he's the safest character in the game (and I'd say there's no argument to be made here). Plus his step is great too.

His safeness also gives him great turn stealing possibilities with GIs, and he's got the best post-GI game in the roster. Thank God GIs were nerfed by the way.

Finally you've already talked about his aGIs, which are top 2 in my opinion, and don't get me started on his Ring Outs.

No, I definitely agree that he's a very strong character and is a character in contention for top 5, I just don't think he's number 1 right now because Ivy is so fucking ridiculous right now, her SC 66KK is the dumbest shit I've ever seen in my life and her throws are so much better than everyone else's now that throws have been gutted by the latest patch.

Sieg's my hand is absurdly good right now and dark legacy is like "haha you're losing the round so now you get a huge advantage over your opponent and they have to worry about losing a ton of health because you have a high damage aGI you can throw out at any time and 3B is gonna do half your life if it LHs." Not to mention 3A4 and AGA killing step from midscreen.

I'm not sure Ivy really needs any explanation, we all know what she does and she got buffed somehow .

Like I said, I'm not disagreeing with your assessment of how good Kilik's tools are (they're really fucking good), I just think you're somewhat overselling how strong he is in comparison to the other top tiers.

I'm sorry to hear that, he sounds like a pathetic piece of shit, I'm not sure what good making a thread about him will do when such a tiny fraction of this forum's community plays Soul Calibur games, though. Maybe you could talk to people on one of the Calibur discords about him? Maybe they would have more experience in dealing with him if he has a history since V.

Well I do consider Ivy top 2 at the moment. I'm still not quite sold on Siegfried though, I'll have to play him more to feel comfortable enough to talk, but he does feel strong post patch for sure.

Yeah...u right. I already expressed this on Twitter last night and put the bitch on FULL BLAST w/ receipts. I got his first and last name, screen shots, messages he sent, and found out he's famous for being the scrubbiest of scrubs on Scrub Quotes. Sad right? He literally has an ARCHIVE of hatemail he sends to multiple people when he gets his ass kicked online.
