Rumor: Google releasing gaming console

VSC_Supreme

TYM's #1 L taker.
Why they would make a console and not a gaming engine is beyond me, especially after all these other consoles have failed.

Knowing google, i expect it to be a 'cheaper alternative' console that will play mobile games.

I think Google could pull it off if this is what they're doing.

The pad they showed a couple of days ago looks like utter trash

If anything, they need to slim down where you grip the controller. Shit's giving me OG Xbox controller flashbacks.

I liked the original XB controllers. They went to the slim ones later, way too small to be comfortable for me.

Anyway, I'm sure the console won't have a hidden mic or camera or anything. And it will have all those great Android phone games to play!

I hear you don’t even have to plug it in. It just feeds on all your personal information.
No joke, my cousin has a Google Home and one night her husband and kid were playing a card game and the Google Home was turned off, but plugged in, and it commented on their game saying 'well played'.

I would have thrown that thing in lava so freaking quick you have no idea.

The big problem, for me, is I am already invested in Microsoft and Sony's ecosystems. With MS being dedicated to backwards compatibility and integrating Xbox and PC and the PS5 rumored to be following suit with BC. It is unlikely for me to jump in to a whole new one.

Where do you live that you have lava in such close proximity?

Try this neat trick. Here is a video a friend sent of her doing it on Alexa. Not sure if it works with Google Home. I don't have any such devices, so I can't test if it's real or not. Just read these quotes:
  1. Alexa, would you lie to me?
  2. Alexa, what is the CIA?
  3. Alexa, are you connected to the CIA? (uh oh, it seems that Alexa got an error and can't respond...)

I remember when it first came out it used to shut off if you asked it that question like in the video you posted, then they patched it and it just denies it in a really unconvincing way.

That is the problem with this giant companies, they pretty much want to monopolize the system, like Amazon is doing, putting the small ones with no chances to compete against their prices and services. But Sony and Microsoft can also counterattack imo
