MK vs KI Crossover

Over a year or so ago Xbox head Honcho Phil Spencer and Ed Boon had a friendly exchange on Twitter about the possibilities of a Mortal Kombat and Killer Instinct crossover

Ed Boon responded on Twitter to a few gamers by saying "I loves me some Killer Instinct but a crossover would have to be Xbox exclusive".

In my opinion this should be one of the best crossovers in the fighting game industry

Personally, I think a MK vs KI crossover would be perfect. The styles are definitely similar enough to make both franchises profit. The gore and violence also fit the theme of both games perfectly.

Sub Zero vs Glacius
Nightwolf vs Eagle
Raiden vs Chief Thunder
Smoke vs Fulgor
Kitana va Orchid
Shang Tsung vs Cinder
Jax vs TJ Combo

Noon Saibot vs Shadow Jago
This could be it imo. I loves me some MK vs KI haa! What do guys think, Yay or Nay?

yep, the only crossover I support using MK franchise, it's exactly with KI .... KI fits the gore and violence aspect of MK games, but, regarding gameplay, I prefer a approach regarding MK gameplay and mechanics for a game like that, not the Killer Instinct combo gameplay (that is fucking boring to watch) ....

Nonetheless, would be a hell of game, but only using the KI characters into MK gameplay (not KI gameplay) , might would work out greatly

Yeah it’ll be very interesting to see the gameplay but definitely a sick game

I've always loved MK for its gore, and KI for its awesome musical arrangements. The thought of having those kinds of tracks featured in an MK game makes me drool a little bit.

This would be smart even if they do it Xbox exclusive I can see Xbox sales increase just because of this game question is would they be able to invest on this. I’d be smart in my opinion

Both games are now guest character city, I wouldn't be surprised if a KI character is coming to 11 down the line. It just makes sense.

Crossovers could be a wet-dream of so many people, but it seems to be a hard thing to do. SFxTekken would be a great example of that.

Mixed feelings. KI is about little to no neutral and huge ass combos, mk is meant to be the other way around if mk11 is any indication. I'd be interested in seeing Jade do an ultra combo and would love to have Orchid's sexyality back but I'm not sure if I like the idea until I see it work

Probably never gonna happen due to Xbox exclusivity. MK is too big to be locked to one platform/away from PlayStation, plus a bunch of people ("casuals") don't even know what Killer Instinct is. Bunch of people would probably whine and scream "WHY NOT STREET FIGHTER"? MK's first good crossover should probably be with another franchise closer to it in terms of popularity/status.

Despite all that, it'd be fucking rad. One of my dream crossovers for MK.
