Chris Pratt has to much of a nice guy rep from his charisma.. they should get someone that can play a douche bag a little better.. maybe Matthew McConaughey or someone like that lol. (I like his films but he could play a douche bag easy ahha)

Dude what? His star lord is basically Johnny Cage. Arrogant, slightly incompetent, super competitive and jealous, sarcastic wisecracks...

narr... he was just playing Indiana Jones in space. I mean the 1st Gaurdians is imo, one of the best Disney movies recently, but that is not how I see Cage at all. Cage is a unlikable arse. The thing that makes he so awesome is that out of all the character he has one of the most rounded arcs.. going from douche bag to nice guy... but I am not convinced that Chris Prat could ever play a character the audience actively dislikes. I mean from Parks and Rec all the way through everyone he has played has been extremely likeable. He is type cast as that for now. Cage needs someone that the audience can really dislike ... maybe Sam Rockwell or someone.. someone that has the range to be a douche bag all the way to a cool dude.

His star lord is almost the same archetype as mk9 and mkx. “I’m taking you out, I’m taking you out, I’m taking you out.....to dinner “ is like verbatim something starlord would say.

Johnny Cage in the last few games is definitely of the “prickly douchey and arrogant exterior but actually a family man and loyal friend with a heart of gold” mold. Johnny Cage is the king of sarcastic one liners and shit talking.

Matthew Mcconaughey and Sam Rockwell are super self serious, furrowed brow actors that are like Oscar bait dudes (outside of like dazed and fucking tropic thunder) that don’t have any of that Johnny vibe. And, since when is Johnny totally unlikable? He’s the classic character that appears abrasive and unlikable for the first act and then is a favorite the rest of the way.

Chris Pratt is a great call. Halfway between his starlord and Jurassic park character is right up his alley. Starlord is way more Johnny than Indiana. Now, Ryan Reynolds could be in the mix for sure, but I guess we have to agree to disagree because imo Chris Pratt is a much better Johnny than MM or Sam Rockwell

Chris Pratt would be great as Cage imo, he could douche it up. And honestly, Johnny being an unlikeable douche didn’t last that long in the new NRS games, it didn’t take long to see that he genuinely cares about Sonya and the other earth fighters. In MKX he was just a straight up good guy with a funny sense of humor, it was easy to root for him.
