Soul Calibur 6: THE SOUL STILL BURNS!

I kind of wish there was a FPS audit for PC like for IJ2 and MKX. After seeing how many people would try to play online in yellow ranges on MKX and IJ2, I'm really curious to know what people are trying to get away with.

The game fairly low spec, but I had stages and situations where my old video card tanked. When I play someone on the Astral Chaos stage and the game stutters or runs slow, then I start to wonder if it's people's rig and not the actual connection. It happens a lot on that stage and then smooths out the second the match ends. I'm pretty sure I've even played a match or two on that stage at half speed.

I upgraded the weekend the game dropped to smooth out my issues and it runs fine solo, so I don't think it has anything to do with me.

I can never do Fighting games on PC online. Fuck that. That's hack central. Matter of fact, somebody posted on Reddit that somebody was able to use Inferno IN RANKED! Da fuck!?

It's oddly the best and worst way to play and it all hinges around someone else.

We got the frame data apps, lower lag (Tekken) the looks, less Wi-Fi, better graphics potential, AND the randomness that makes all the other stuff seem less cool. Not the most portable solution for events either.

I just buy both versions and do what feels right for the moment and most of my labbing I do on pc. It's not a bad way to play these days, but can't blame someone for not going that way.

Im Oldschool, so amazing graphics dont really affect me much. PC cost more money to maintain, mod, and all that shit that i do not have time for. Console keeps it very simple and is the basic tournament standard. Why do i want to make life more difficult for myself? lol Its good for others but im coo keeping it simple.

I've been building my own rigs for like 25 years, so I actually like/not worried about that part of it.

Me? Only like a little over 6K with Tira @ F1. I'm a little split between systems and characters so it's hard to say where I should be. I might be able to get a character or two into the E ranks, but I'm probably going to get stuck there. Those D+ guys are too much for me to hang with.

Where is your's at?

I'm going to run a long game with Geralt and Tira I think. Trying Zas for a few days. Hoping he will teach me to stop pressing so many buttons. He is kind of interesting, but I doubt I will be able to do much with him.

A big over 5000 with Yoshi but been playing as Sieg this week. Hes hella challenging yet fun to play. He's soooo not braindead as Nightmare. You actually have to outplay your opponent to win. And his stances are the key to kick ass. With him, im about 6000. I actually dressed him up as ShoNuff from The Last Dragon. If you know that movie, then you get a cookie ;)

I feel like I saw the ending on TV one random day a long time ago. Not 100% that it was it, or that I would deserve a cookie.

Someone seriously needs to explain what you are supposed to do against sig after he knocks you down. I think I've rare to never been able to get off the ground. I had one guy that let me roll, but that's about it. I've lost round after round after round after round never being able to get up. And all his shit knocks you down so...

I'm most lost in the game fighting Azwel, and second most lost trying to get up against sig. I can beat a really bad Sig, but that's about it. It's usually me getting mopped in the literal sense of getting swirled around on the ground.

Sieg and Azwel both require match up knowledge to fight.

Against Sieg you have to get used to his stances and know his options, at least the most common ones. For example: if you see him spinning he has access to a 50/50, but his low option is unsafe.

Azwel is tricky to follow as you need to remember what mode he's in. In each of the different mode he has a 1 time use super strong move, and faster normals with that weapon. For example: if Azwel is in axe mode he'll have access to a godlike low, but otherwise there's no need to respect his low options, while if Azwel is in sword mode he can whiff punish very quickly at almost any range, so be careful.

I will leave my seal on you!
I don't know if this is known, but I've discovered something interesting in the training mode. It turns out that if you hit Yoshi's CE when you are on the side of the opponent, the damage is higher, and if you do it while the opponent's back is turned, the damage is even higher. The damage boost is not huge though, but it's still there.

Edit: It turns out the damage bonus is very minimal, of like 1-3 extra damage points. Don't know how I didn't notice that at first. Also it turns out that the damage boost is true to all attacks and combos, with the boost of course being varied between them.

I know about that low axe ride. I've taken it few times. I keep hearing about Azwel stances, but I've never "noticed" them. When I fight him I just see lots of flashes of blue and red and then it's over. Most of the other characters I can tell why I got hit, but he has so much visual noise to try and see through that he might as well be hiding in that giant rainbow cube.

I'll probably have to spend a couple days playing Sig to understand anything about him. I'm really not even going to bother with trying to fight Azwel anymore. He's last on a list I know I'll never get through.

Azwel does have stances, but they aren't as important. Modes on the other hand are, just remember that if he last used a sword attack, then he's in sword more and same with spear and axe.

It's true though, he is very visually overwhelming.

I just bought the game like couple days ago, I messed around with training mode, completed a story and played couple online matches and I really like the vibe of the game. I can't wait to dive in more and learn it more.

But I hate custom characters. I mean It's super cool that they gave us that possibility but people have the ugliest and shiittiest looking custom characters (and I really love design and how character looks by default). I wish I could turn it off somehow.

Are you sticking with Kilik (pun intended) or did you pick up some one else? You didn't hop on the AssSwell band wagon did you? You're totally right about the custom characters, I get that some enjoy it but it's not for me.

I still know shit about characters, but I liked Xianghua the most. I like her stance and how she moves. I think I will try to learn her for now.
