I know I'm a little late to the party but I wanna give out my thoughts on some of the topics that were talked about recently here:

1) Libra of Souls: I like the story itself, both in this and in the Soul Chronicle mode, they are both very good, and the voice acting (when it does occur) is great and spot on, and I think the RPG aspect of LOS is fine. However, presentation wise, both of those modes are just so lackluster. I understand that this game had a limited budget, but having so little cinematic cut scenes in both of those modes and making almost all of the dialogues in Chronicle mode in artwork form (though the art itself does look great) is very annoying. And then having to read almost all of the story dialogue in LOS mode with that tiny font text is so irritating that it actually made me at one point stop reading almost all of that, because the text was so uncomfortable to read. I kept reading some dialogues, but man that's not how fighting game story modes should be presented, AT ALL.

2) Online: It's indeed not good that the netcode is an input-delay based netcode that can't work for you unless you have a really good connection. However, I never had a problem to enter the Online and thankfully I have a good connection. I do have a problem however with the lack of features that online has in this game. There are literately ONLY 2 ONLINE MODES in the entire online section of the game: Ranked and Casual, and the Casual mode is not really a Casual mode, but rather a King of the Hill mode. Don't get me wrong, I like the fact that this mode is in the game, I don't like however that it takes the place of regular Casual matches. Not to mention that there is no private match option like in NRS games, so if I wanna get a straightforward match, I have to either go to Ranked or make a 2-player only Lobby with someone and hope that we will find each other. Overall, the online section of the game is very lackluster.

3) Overall gameplay: I don't have a problem with that, that's one of the very few things that are really good about this game. And also, regarding RE, what @Tiger Wong said is very true.

Overall, the only 4 things that are truly good about SC6 or at least acceptable on the right level are the gameplay, the soundtrack, the voice acting, and the core roster at launch. Other then that, everything else is too damaged at least in one way or another, and you can clearly see that there are stuff that is either missing in the game or not build properly. And that's not even counting all the bugs that were found so far.

I'm still gonna keep playing the game here and there, but I really wish it was better.

If your opponent RE too much then start doing quick attacks like A or AA because even when blocked by RE you can still sidestep and punish them. Also in general sidestep a lot against these people.
Also start mixing in Break Attacks into your offense. If you do a BA on an RE you can get a Lethal Hit combo(with A+B at least). Not to mention afaik BAs are + on block and are good against Guard Impacts as well.

I don't know if this was asked here already but I wanna know: Are CE's supposed to be slow and without armor? I've noticed that when I go for a CE, there are couple of frames before the intro animation for the CE starts, even though I've already spent the meter. I guess you can call them "prologue frames", if you will. That means (and it actually happened to me several times in the single player modes) if the opponent hits me during those "prologue frames", I can spend the meter and not hit the CE at all since it doesn't have armor. Is that suppose to happen in SC games?

I guess I can ignore that for myself since Yoshi's CE is a full screen Teleport that is plus on block, but I think it's very weird that a super move that you spend meter for doesn't have armor and also slow while can also evade the move a lot easier since it's a 3D game where you have a lot more space to move in.

Yeah, you have to be careful about throwing them out. It's really lenient about when it lets you spend the meter, making it really easy to accidentally burn through 2 bars without even going into the startup animation.

I see, well if that's suppose to happen in SC games then I will just have to be more careful. Thanks for the info dude.

I get stuffed that way with Tira all the time, but mostly because I'm a greedy button masher that tends to panic under pressure.

After doing some testing, it's not a consistent length across characters. Not sure how SCUFFLE handles supers, but it seems to like to display 16 and 2 or sometimes 100 and 2 for Tira. Doing manual testing instead, Tira and Geralt can punish -16 on block moves with their supers, and Mitsurugi can punish -12. I'm guessing that is the rough punish range across characters. I'd be curious to know what the slowest super is, but I'm not sure I care enough to go looking for it. Everyone should probably be afraid of having much of anything blocked by Mitsu.

**Edit (assuming 19 moves don't exist, cuz I couldn't find any. I'm sure someone has done this, but the app and 8-way run don't seem to have all of this info yet. Not hard but kinda tedious.)
Talim can punish around -19 or -20 on block.
Xianghua punishes -12 or slower.
Gr0h punishes -16
Sig punishes -20
Tira punishes -16
Geralt punishes -16
Seong Mi-Na punishes -18
Sophitia punishes -16
Voldo punishes -20
Yoshi - Hard to figure out but it's slow. Stick to your full screen wiff punishes.

Why am I still doing this?
Hope I'm doing this right or I'm going to dumber than normal tomorrow.

end edit**

Side note, I don't see the lack of armor as a big deal. They are still pretty good a sneaking into places and wiff punishing stuff. I even kind of like that they aren't all powerful moves and you can do stuff like GI some of them.

Power note, if you try to record the CPU blocking a super, be sure to hold block long enough that your recording is still blocking past the super's sexy animation sequence. Took me a while to figure that one out.

Some CE has auto Guard Impact or armor to it like Ivy, Zasalamel and Nightmare.
Yeah I've figured just last night that Ivy's CE has an auto Guard Impact to it. I guess that in the case for Yoshi, he can absorb meter and his CE is a full screen Teleport that is plus on block, so that is the special pro to his CE.

Apparently, SC6 got 6th top selling game in the month of October.

Considering the stack titles, I think SC6 is alright. With SC's history, the scene for this game dont really last long. The question is, do you think the game will survive at least a year? Better question, do YOU see yourself still playing this game in one year ?Question mark?

I don't know what I will be to in a year, but I'm sure this game can keep me busy until DOA6 drops.

This is the first game in a while where I think I can play more than 1 character. I couldn't do it for IJ2 or Tekken, but I'm feeling reasonably comfortable with 2 right now. (Comfortable as an F class player is going to get anyway)
