In app (the bell icon), not the push notifications.
I turn off push notifications for most apps because I find them annoying.

So from what I'm seeing, it won't ping with a red number next to the notifications tab if you have new ones. BUT, what you can do @Braindead is when you go to your notifications, press the checkmark when you saw your new ones. Then, you'll see that all your unread notifications have a red circle next to them

Btw if you just go to edit signature then save again, without changing anything, it will fix the TYM app link in the signature instead of showing "Tapatalk"
