Creating this new thread as the other one was a mess.

If talking about the show, either use the thread dedicated to it or use spoiler tags. With The game and Dragon Ball Super it will be hard to not mention stuff from the show, that’s fine. But specifically talking about the show isn’t what this thread is for.

This thread is to talk about Dragon Ball FighterZ, the video game. Any attempts to purposely derail the thread will be met with an infraction as per the rule.

Who is everyone planning on using in the beta? And then in the actual game? Obviously that could change once you get your hands on the game, but who are you LOOKING to main? For me:

Beta: Vegeta, Beerus, Frieza

Actual Game: Vegeta (whichever form is better), Hit, Goku Black

Juggs, I haven't played the beta yet at all, but I'm extremely hype for the game. Hopefully it's the true spiritual successor to Marvel.

What are your feelings on the game, having played it?

Who you planning to put on your team?

I'm lucky, the characters I'm most interested in made the cut.


Gonna most likely be maining Beerus for obvious reasons.
Going with Cell or Adult Gohan in the middle, depending on how well I feel that Cell assist covers me.
Gonna round it out with SSJ Goku or Frieza at the end, depending entirely on whether or not Goku's lvl 3 works as I think it does. EDIT: it doesn't. Looks like it's that FRIEZA LIFE for me.

I read Cell is a grappler, can anyone confirm? I'm down with him if so. I'll also run Vegeta because he was my favorite character from the show. Third spot I have no idea, staying flexible.

I’m gonna go Krillin and Piccolo, but I’m undecided on who else I’ll choose. I’m thinking Vegeta or Frieza to fill out the last spot.

Real sad Tien didn’t get chosen to be in the beta. The neo tri-beam looked awesome.

Beta: 18/Frieza/Kid Buu

Main Game: 18/Kid Buu/Hit. If Hit is too high execution for my scrubby ass (Maximilliam suggested that he was tougher to play in his breakdown) then I'll probably stick with Frieza. I'll play 21 if she makes it in, but I'm less then hopeful.

16 is a grappler for sure, I think Cell just has a grab. Max has been doing a good breakdown for the cast, and he mains Cell so this is worth checking out

Neither have I, but there will be a beta this weekend. A day early for the pre-order peeps, and then the open beta the day after I believe.

@God Confirm posted the pic of the beta characters. Posting pics on here is a hassle for me otherwise I woulda done it, so thanks to the Austrailian wonder.

I'm still unsure of my own synergy team. Gotta lab these beta characters and get used to this gameplay.

And I'm pretty sure that I won't use Krillin and his shitty zoning.

Main game will be Trunks, Tien, Gotenks.

Beta will be Vegeta, 18, and Cell I guess.

I did see something along those lines, will absolutely give him a shot, although unfortunately won't be able to until release. Would like it if there was a grappler that wasn't the "big beefy guy" archetype (this is probably one of those things that bothers only me lol).

If it makes you feel better, 16 is mobile. Maybe not as fast as some other characters, but he's not anywhere near as slow as Iron Tager or Potemkin. Nappa has kind of the opposite thing going on, he's a big dude but I think he's more a summon/set-up character than anything else

Yeah! I watched some of his gameplay, looks great. Definitely not the ponderous type.

Beerus and Buu are my picks off the beta, i'll mess around with frieza and Vegeta for their assists to see how abusable they are.

Final team is Gotenks/???/Frieza or SSB Vegeta, whoever has the better assist.

Oh i know what the assists do, I just wanna test out how good they actually are in gameplay and if they are as cheap as they look.
