That's fucking awesome! Soul Calibur is my 3rd most favorite Fighting Game series only behind Marvel Vs. Capcom and of course Mortal Kombat. I'm so happy that this game is coming. Now all they need to do is bring back Yoshimitsu and it will be just perfect.

Soul Calibur is niche so it probably won't make a lot of noise en masse.

It could be a prequel given the apparent age of the characters, but we don't know the context of the trailer footage. For all we know that was a flash back in story mode.

Graphically it doesn't blow away yet but this is literally early mode footage. Calibur has always looked visually high end on release. Even SCV holds up to this day visually.

Yes SCV's graphics were beautiful, also had an excellent soundtrack.

As for the story, maybe it will take place between Soul Calibur 4 and 5, like how SF games aren't in the same order canonically as they were released.
