Kingusha always played under the bambooka nickname ( account ), which is not forbidden (maybe he bought his account?). And he did not use Kingusha account to participate in the tournament

It is not forbidden to have multiple accounts in PSN. And you choose from which to participate in ESL.

What you described would still imply a violation of multiple ESL rules, therefore Bambooka/Kingusha should still be disqualified:

According to ESL League specific Rules, to partecipate in Path To Pro:

  • You must be a registered player on the ESL website.
  • You must have your own active Playstation Network account in good standing and add it to your profile(Gameaccount: PSN Online ID) for North America and Europe tournaments.
  • Account sharing (Playstation Network) is strictly forbidden and will result in a disqualification.
Also, according to ESL Global Rules 2.1

  • "The attempt to deceive admins or other players with wrong or fake statements, information or data will not be tolerated.".
Kingusha used another player information and he would still have to be penalized.

I disagree, just have like a mic check before matches...... not as secure/guaranteed as a web cam check in before a match, but it is far less invasive way of making sure a person is present. And, it should be easily do-able by any participant wanting to win. Especially in top 16.

Did you read the OP? These two live around each other, they could simply meet up at ones house and swap in and out to play.

Yup, it's verifiably happened with high level players in our scene before. It's such an obvious problem with online tournaments with no real solution. The only way to negate it is to force players to stream with a cam, which obviously is unfeasible.

Theo lives like 30 mins away from me. If I had him come over and play sm/sg on my account, despite me never playing those chars, there's nothing anyone could do about it. Or I could give Rewind my account info and have him play my main, then who would even suspect it?

So people spend hundreds and get days off from work for offline events but it's impossible to ask them 19$ for a cam and an email for a twitch account.
For cups that reward 5/10/more thousand dollars from their comfortable home couches.
Given that identity exchange can be a serious issue (like just happened).
Ok.

Lol well forgetting all the problems that could cause, people being uncomfortable streaming their bedroom, etc, it can still be faked. I can show my head or even my controller pretending I'm playing while someone else is.

I believe the only way to negate this is starting to disqualify people when there are many elements that lead to a super high chance that they cheated. Without a power like this, admins can't do much in some situations, simply because there is no way to be 100% sure...just 99%.

Also, if someone wanted to cheat and did it discretely, we wouldn't be here discussing my findings: they would get away with it clean and no one would suspect them.
Thing is they cheated poorly and left a lot on the table to work with. Imho it's not easy to ignore everything I found, despite ESL not being able to disqualify Bambooka.

I would like to ask the people organizing E-League what they think about this, there is a real chance that a cheater will play offline in the biggest tournament NRS ever had and appear on tv too. It's just not cool.

That lack of Supergirl and Harley playtime for Bambooka is extremely strong evidence alone..

This honestly raises a lot of suspicions and now shows the Path to Pro series has some potential exploits.

On twitch you can link screen stream to cam.
Good luck "pretending" when the character is clashing and you are not pressing l2. Or it's blocking while you press 123.

I'm happy to quote you if you want. You can't deny that this is hugely ironic given your posting history.

You were the one talking about how online was equal to offline and people didn't need to take things offline, because playing online was just as good as holding an offline major.

I can't be the only person who remembers this :p
