I'm still unsure about the tag system, does your tagged in character automatically attacks mid combo? Do you instantly attack with your choice of attacks? Because I've noticed on occasions I can choose but others my tagged opponent auto hits. This game is really, really fun. It is so fast, and there is WAY more depth than I would have imagined. It does make Injustice seem slow and shallow by comparison. I've only played NRS games seriously in the last 5 years, never got into these games, and I'm glad I did.
What I've learned so far is you must think of your two fighters as one fighter. The switch system is great to: cover unsafe stuff, to extend combos, to mixup. I use THOR and hulk, and a 5000 combo I regularly do off easy hit confirmable jabs stars with THOR, switches in hulk, and ends with THOR again. I have a few of those, and it seems the best people I see online are always tagging people in. For hulk his combos are easy and powerful, but not very long, and I almost always call in THOR in the middle to extend them. A lot of the mixups I have as THOR I can't really extend unless I call in hulk.
There's still much I am learning and don't know yet, but it's a lot of fun.
Anyone know if there is a way to cross up, like when I airdash over their head towards the opposite side in their back, can I turn around and attack? It just attacks the same direction, never turning around towards them.
Doesn't automatically attack but will follow thru on the last input(s) put in before the tag out, so you can easily input a special move and hit the tag button and your tagging out character will complete that action before jumping out.I'm still unsure about the tag system, does your tagged in character automatically attacks mid combo? Check out that video I linked. He talks about the super jump (down+up) canceled low to the ground that will auto-correct.Anyone know if there is a way to cross up, like when I airdash over their head towards the opposite side in their back, can I turn around and attack? No, auto correcting air normals is something only nrs games do.Anyone know if there is a way to cross up, like when I airdash over their head towards the opposite side in their back, can I turn around and attack? It just attacks the same direction, never turning around towards them.
What legacy stick do you have? For my universal Hitbox, I have to hold 1+3 when I plug it in and the PS4 reads it; I just have to reset it every 8 minutes, which is really no big deal. Not sure if other sticks have that feature.So.. It looks like MvCI DOES NOT support legacy sticks? Im googling and finding absolutely nothing but people posting it doesn't.
Im sorry, but that is a load of fucking horseshit. I know I can buy a converter, but I shouldn't have too. I know this is partly Sony's fault for not including native backwards compatibility, but pretty much EVERY other fighting game, INCLUDING SFV, provides this. So a 60$ game now becomes closer to 100$ + wait time for the converter, or, buy a whole new 200$ stick when my current one is perfect in every regard.
/salt.
That is extremely annoying. I know the game is supposed to be really pad friendly, and I guess that's the route I should go, its just.. well, its shitty.
Yeah it did but that’s the problem, most of the stuff I’m trying to do doesn’t work anymore . They changed the button layout also .So how different is it? Does some of your mvc3 knowledge translate to mvci?

Yes, you can use a technique some people are calling the "hyper hop."Anyone know if there is a way to cross up, like when I airdash over their head towards the opposite side in their back, can I turn around and attack? It just attacks the same direction, never turning around towards them.
how do you get Training mode only version>?Welp, I have my training mode only version for the time being until i decide if Im buying or not.
A quick run through of characters and I REALLY like Zero*, Dante, Jedah, Hawkeye
Kinda like Gammora(spelling?), Thanos, Rocket, Capt Marvel, Strider
Havent messed with Nova or Dormamu or X yet.
*Zero will almost beyond a doubt be on my team.
So, Id like to avoid just playing the hyper popular characters, but to be kinda truthful, the roster sorta blows. Some of the characters just arent interesting to me. I'm considering Zero/Dante but that sounds cliche as fuck and its probably obnoxiously overplayed, though I dont know for sure. Maybe Zero/Gammora, or Zero/Jedah, even though Jedah is REALLY heavily played. Zero/Rocket could be interesting.
Shrug.
Im gonna try to find some BnBs tomorrow for Zero and grind out a little execution and try to find a second.
I’m also curious about that, would you mind to elaborate?how do you get raining mode only version>?
Yeah, it really is bullshit. This is 2017 Capcom. Seriously?!
Zero, thanos, or gamora are good starters imo. Dante is swaggy and good af but dunno if I'd start with him because he can be a little overwhelming. If you do want to use him though, Zero/Dante is very good and not overplayed.Welp, I have my training mode only version for the time being until i decide if Im buying or not.

I LOOOOVE Big characters that hit hard! Easy combos to learn and big damage! Nemesis is fun to play but still trying to find who would partner well with him to balance out his slow speed.Started messing with Big Bodies yesterday and Running Nemesis/Thanos with the Reality Stone.
Turns out a lot of people don't like fighting big body characters lol
On a note about the stones reality feels like the strongest at the moments and mind stone as the weakest, has anyone found some really good use for it? Seems like Mind is all about the Infinity storm
Rocket with the space stone tho, Place that Trap and cheese pull them into it. OR burrow into the ground when they Infinity storm to cheese out the timer!I think I'm sticking with ryu/raccoon. Rr is so much fun lol. I mean muthafaka digs underground, HE DIGS AND GOES UNDERGROUND LOL.
Thanks bro, I'm still trying to decide what stone to use, or should I say what stone to main?Rocket with the space stone tho, Place that Trap and cheese pull them into it. OR burrow into the ground when they Infinity storm to cheese out the timer!
