Legendary Multiverse Help

Reauxbot

You think you bad? You aint bad.
I haven't gotten to do the Legendary Multiverses thoroughly, really only got to click on it and skim it before leaving home.
I'm curious as to how this works. The amount of tasks to complete looks overwhelming, leading to this question:
Does online gameplay affect any of these and does it matter if it's competitive or not?
I'm also curious if anyone else feels some of the tasks are but too much.
250 epics for one item doesn't seem too rewarding.

The 250 epic gear is my only issue with it. Not only is it a ludicrous amount of epic gear, but it's 250 epic gear for that specific character.

Edit: I forgot to mention that gear does not affect the challenges. You can complete all of these challenges in online matches except for a private 1v1 as far as i'm aware

That's excellent news. Thank you. I thought it was title specific. As in Legendary stats are only affected by gameplay in the Legendary Multiverse section.
Appreciated

Yea, requirements like "3000 minutes on Atrocitus" is garbage. That's 50 hours of actual matches with Atrocitus they want you to play. Not 50 hours of gameplay, 50 hours of actually being in a match with Atrocitus, when matches may not last more then two minutes. That's not asking people to play the game, that's asking them to grind it out in some bullshit manner. That and some of the other requirements are getting a lot of criticism.

I think legendary gear is a fantastic idea, but some of the requirements are just too much and hopefully the make them a bit easier.

Dude. Its 7000 for WoWo . I even did that already but it doesn't count. The epic gear one scares me the most. I don't see meeting that with the drop rate I get by 100000 min.

I'm honestly convinced that this whole legendary gear thing is just a meme and that there's actually no legendary gear. Those challenges are just ridiculous, why the fuck would ANYONE grind the game out for that long? The casuals who regularly play with gear sure as hell wouldn't, and the dedicated players don't care about gear.

I don't mind the 250 Epic Gear thing honestly, I've got plenty of Epic Gear sitting around and a ton of boxes to open and you get even MORE from the multiverses that give you epic gear or the ones that gives you diamond and platinum boxes (ie the ones that'll give you epic gear all the time). Plus some of the epic gear can be kinda ugly or asymmetric so I don't mind getting rid of it lol. My issue is that as a f2p player I ALSO have to save 100 random gear between all chars for the multiverses that give you a free shader. I don't think they're expecting anyone to get the legendary gear any time within the next week or anything, it's a continual thing you just do with the objectives updating in the background if you do them.

That's fucking stupid.

They are asking people to play it like it's a full time job to reach these requirements or to see them years down the line.

I played WoW for years and never felt like I was asked to do this much to get a piece of gear or some other shit. This is Everquest levels of tediousness, but with less fun.

Edit: Seriously, 7000 minutes? Over 100 hours of actual in match gameplay of Wonder Woman? What the fuck is this? I don't even have words to describe how absolutely insane that is. I barely got 7000 minutes of having MKX on despite playing over 10k matches and unhealthy amounts of time in practice mode over its entire life span.

It does seem that they really don't want you getting them for more than one character, which is fucking weird.

Most of the requirements are fine and require some grinding and skill, but the ones about spending thousands of minutes fighting as a single character are just dumb. Also, 250 pieces of epic gear is an inanely high requirement. I wish they could have given some kind of heads up earlier along the lines of "By the way, you might want to hold off selling your excess epic gear. Won't say why right now, but stay tuned". Then maybe I wouldn't have cleared out all the epic gear I wasn't using before finding out it was required somewhere else.

At the end of it, if it turns out that the legendary gear has stats along the lines of "Look! 200 bonus points in each of the categories! Isn't that amazing!", I'm going to be fucking pissed.

The epic gear seems like the biggest problem. I threw down 100 pieces no problem in multiverse but it was from a shared pool between all characters. Having to need it come from one specific character is a big deal.

I would wager to say I could have met all these req by now for WoWo if time served counted and I did guild at all. But I maybe collected 30 epic for her in about 100 hours of play. All of which I dumped the night before this started. Since then I've gotten 1 and that is with probably 10 to 20 plats and some diamond boxes. (I got probably 15-30 for others)

At that rate I will maybe have a 5th of the gear I need when I have time served is met. It's sure seems like the most savage requirement right now.

If I remember correctly you could grind this out in a local 2 player fight. Go to options on the main menu and change round time to off, then leave your controllers plugged in overnight. That may be a decent enough work around. It may not work tho. I've only been told it works.

EDIT: Confirmed it doesn't work lol

I wanted to see how the guild requirements stack up with the others. I haven't done guild and have no frame of reference for how hard that may be. I don't remember what the points needed were for mine off hand though.

250 Epic Gear is way too much for your main/s.

The whole point of getting gear in a competitive sense is how cool it looks where the Epic Gear is usually the most unique and less Generic looking Gear. It also helps with ACTUALLY getting Epic Gear with your AI Loadouts because Grinding the AI yourself is Boring...

Also I don't know how you expect to keep 250 Epic Gear when the Slot limit is 100. The extra is 20. Yeah you can sacrifice duplicates...but seriously how long will that take...by MK11???

Come On NRS Change the Requirements to something Realistic. It's all well and Good when it's not your mains but it's asking waaaaaay tooooo much.

But yeah, this Single legendary Gear is just for non competitive mode anyway but you go to places like gamefaqs and the casual fan base hates it with passion.
For all of the pay in stuff like regen tokens and gear, you can pay into the requirements in a pay as you go thing. You don't have to do it all in one shot.

I wish Regen Token were actually useful. I have ~1300 just sitting there doing nothing. Being able to pay for some event with them would be nice.
Another problem is that the best way to get epic gear and earn credits is to play the multiverse, which is honestly so freaking BORING. Most multiverse events are nothing more than combo practice.
For the multiverses that don't fuck with the physics in any way or shoot shit at you constantly they're basically combo practice with the side benefit of possibly blinging out your character. I'm OK with that. The multiverses that fuck with the game physics or shoot stuff at you however can fuck right off.
The 250 epic gear is my only issue with it. Not only is it a ludicrous amount of epic gear, but it's 250 epic gear for that specific character.
IMO the biggest issue with the epic gear requirements is the fact that your inventory space, even for a level 20 character, is quit limited.

In my opinion, if they dropped the Epic Gear Requirements from 250 to 50 ot 75 and the Minutes played to 600 or 720, I'd be completely set with the Legendary Multiverse, as I'm already past Batman and Blue Beetle's first towers. Asking for 250 EPIC pieces of Gear is insane, especially when you have to already spend 1,000,000 credits on the tower. 3000, 5000, 7000 minutes is literally over 3 days, 4 days, and a little less than 5 days of nonstop playing while IN A MATCH. Change these two requirements and Legendary Gear is fine. Pls NRS.

The only way I'd see Gear being fine is if the stats were like, +400 or +500 of every stat, or like 800 for every stat that said character needs. Like, Batman would get 800 Strength and 600 Ability Power, and like 200 Health and Defense.

I'm sure the requirements will be tweaked as some of them are definitely a head-scratcher. I'd be better off putting the 400+ hours worth of grinding being asked here into developing my ability to compete and win rather than for several single pieces of gear.

They're supposed to be "The" single pieces of gear though.

Here are the requirements I think are objectively stupid:

Batman: 250 Epic gear sacrificed for Batman

Wonder Woman: 7000(sic) minutes played with Wonder Woman

Atrocitus: 3000 minutes played with Atrocitus

Swamp Thing: 250 Epic gear sacrificed for Swamp Thing

Blue Beetle: 5000 minutes played with Blue Beetle

They are already asking you to grind a fuck ton with the other requirements, but these are just lazy and egregiously tedious. 250 Epic gear for just one character is an insane amount, especially for something that is RNG and that it's a collection you've worked your ass of for.

This doesn't encourage playing and enjoying the game, it encourages grinding. I understand this isn't meant for everyone but I've never seen a developer ask their player base to grind this hard, and for so little reward.
