What's new

What's going to be your process once you get your hands on Injustice 2?

REYTHEGREAT

..........................
Training mode with all the characters to see which one fits my play style, narrow it down to a few, keep training, do combos and find dirt. Ill do story mode over the course of 2-3 days.

My main plan is find combos and setups.

DC4-3

Low tier button masher.
- Hit up training mode
- Try every character. EVERY. Character.
- Then out of the ones I like, narrow it down to one for a main.
- Lab them, learn their set of moves.
- Get some combos down. (Midscreen, Anti air, corner, etc.)
- When I'm confident enough, I'll probably play sets with friends until I get the hang/feel of the game while learning what to do against the characters they main before playing online randoms.

Edit: I'll play story mode whenever I feel like it.

yeah start with training/story mode. use only one character for a solid month or so. develop good understanding of that character then move on to learning other characters. for mkx i used almost exclusively jax for the first 3 months.

SonicNinja3532

The Wannabe Prodigy
My plan is to hit training mode, see what has changed with batman, lantern and flash, figure out new bnbs, then lab fate all day til I see what his bnbs and neutral should hopefully look like. Then, I'm gonna lab every characters buttons and strings, see what I'll be up against.

After that day long process, I'll hit story and see what they've got in store for us, then I'm gonna do multiverse to try get as much batman gear as possible. After that, I'm ready for online.

I plan to go into training mode with Captain and learn his normals, specials and combos along with their frame data. Once I can execute them easily, I will play the CPU and then go online when I'm comfortable.

villainous monk

Terrible times breed terrible things, my lord.
I'm completely new to injustice so I'll take a different approach then I normally do.

I'll head into the lab and familiarize myself with the cast. Checking walking speeds, Jumps, dashes, normals ect.

Then play them all in the many modes until I feel like 7 or 5 will do then lab the hell out them. Have them face the AI on the hardest difficulties until I feel like my reaction times are acceptable or comparable to others and lab some more.

Lose a ton of online matches and repeat process and lab lab lab until I learn from those mistakes.

Then try to narrow it down to 3.

This time around I also plan on using my pad, elite controller, sticks and my hit box until I feel comfortable enough to go online.

Then do more labbing.

I WILL EAT THIS GAME
In between trips online to body and get bodied:

1. Story Mode.
2. All the arcade ladder endings.
3. See if Joker and Bane have any Dark Knight gear sets.
4. Decide who I'm gonna keep pursuing and grind.

Toodrunk2combo

Sub and kotal FTW
I'm gonna go to training mode and grind until I find a main. There's a few characters I want to try. I don't know the story and don't care too much.

STB BroZki

Don’t know what to put here
As soon as I get to the main menu I'm hopping into story and playing it till I either complete it or decide to go lab. Once I have the mentality to lab I will pick Deadshot and just learn all I can.

Blitzace10

The Aquatic Ace
1. Straight to Story Mode. Gonna try to finish it in one sit down.
2. Start practicing with Cheetah.
3. Probably go back to the old mains of Aquaman and GL, in Ranked mode.
4. Make some of my characters look awesome in the gear.

Story mode and then wait for someone else to develop my character(s) since I can't lab worth a shit. >.>

I will probably sit in practice after story mode fiddling with whomever I am interested in.

Lab Brainiac for an hour or so to learn a few bnbs and setups. Maybe mess around with a few other characters, but then jump online to start playing and earning gear. Will be streaming the whole time.

What a day. What a lovely day.
Pick Catwoman. Scratch people.

Pick Harley. Shoot people.

Pick Poison Ivy. Give people a nasty rash.

Then play some story mode for the inevitable plethora of unlocks.

I will leave my seal on you!
That's the order:

1) Go to Tutorial to understand any new universal mechanics that weren't in IJ1 and also get general feeling for the game.

2) Complete the whole story mode.

3) Go to the single player modes and have fun with every character for a short period of time just for shits and giggles.

4) Go to training mode and focus on Poison Ivy (the one character I'm most looking forward to at the moment).

5) Go to online and try my best to be a top Poison Ivy main.

Not really sure what I'll do, since this will be my first NRS game that I'll actually be playing from launch. I'll probably lab the characters I'm interested in, lurk TYM for the characters everyones looking out for, do story mode, then start doing the online. Or maybe not, I don't know honestly

With CK League and War of the Gods coming so soon after release it's all about grinding. Two characters, one legacy and one new (I'm feeling Black Adam and Scarecrow to start) and just grind and grind and grind. I'll worry about gear and story stuff later, as the first few days will be nothing but frenetic labbing and playing the game.

Fujin!
  1. Get the game
  2. Install it and download the day-one patch (I'm assuming there's one)
  3. Go straight to customization and apply the God and Demon shaders to a few characters.
  4. Play a TON (and I mean a TON) of local VS with my brother. This will probably be over 50% of our day-one playtime.
  5. We will probably take turns playing single player stuff (The Multiverse) to get some gear. That way our characters will look even cooler in local VS! Lol.
  6. I might use a part of my turn to play practice mode and figure some stuff out with Captain Cold.
Chances are I'm not touching Online, Story, etc, until a day or two after the game is out. I definitely want to practice before I head online, but I doubt I'm going to get enough in the first day or so (which is fine, I'll still be playing multiplayer matches).

During this "process" I'm planning on playing every character at least once.
