Injustice 2: Introducing Brainiac

Always wanted Doc Oc featured in a fighting game. Well this might be the closest we're getting and I'm totally okay with that

I was kinda hoping Brainiac was the spiritual successor to Lex in terms of playstyle (i.e. Mechsuit style), but it looks like he's all tentacles. Can't wait for a full breakdown.

So who's playing/maining Brainiac?

Edit: looks like he also has the ability to mash out electricity like blanka lol

dat 2, reach of normals in general, what seems like a fast overhead at 1:04 that he combos his super from, specials are a question because of the gear, but there was an electric parry, God Ray from the sky, a divekick, drone summons, d'vourer's ovipositorlike tentacle move that occupies half the screen's air space and lasts forever when MB.
And the main question: what is his actual trait? Maybe gaining those tentacle normals. Similar to inj1 MMH's trait?

I'm not focused as much on specials as I am normals in this trailer.

Far advancing strings, great reach, looks like a quick low-mid two hitting string on Grodd, f3 looks like it has amazing range, if that is his d2 - looks slow but touches the same sky do it'd be effective. Did seem like he had splat knockdowns on some of his specials.

I expect divekick, that tentacle madness at the end of the Green Arrow combo, and the parry to be gear. I have a feeling the stuff we saw from Superman fight is base moveset.

The overhead is his f3 I'm confident.

And his trait is probably the drone because we saw it explode and drop a projectile.

I just don't understand why they would save the joker for the last main roster character..unless he's a huge story component that hasn't been revealed.

They better save Darkseid for last or they'll most likely be killing the hype with the final reveal being Joker..

Has anyone received an invite in a room on MKX, thinking it to be a match and accidentally accepting, only to find out it was an invite to practice mode with infinite meter turned on?

That's what I imagine gear matches will be like.

He has a slow rope swing, a slow dive kick that's probably gear, and his only projectile is a slow trait drone from what I see.

I was going to chime in in defense of the gear mode, but I'd forgotten all about those silly stat boosts. It'll be competitive mode for me until the day the servers shut down.

I agree, but that is fun for some people.

Not me, personally, but some gamers actively seek out "time sinks"... RPGs with 100+ hours of content to dive into. That's actually why I think INJ2 will sell like hotcakes...The gear system has "fun and casual" written all over it and the "collect-athon" aspect of it, will keep non-competitive players grinding and happy for a long time.

That's important, since they're basically footing the bill for the rest of us.

I would urge any of you that want to play with gear moves, open up casual matches once and a while. If you have the time to spend, why not?

I don't think it is gear but we don't know if it tracks, as we saw is that it works in relative close range. If it tracks then it's on cuz that's probably hitting mid.

I just don't see how "not tournament standard" became "totally unplayably fucked" overnight. I mean who doesn't want tag mode back and that shit was more broken than Batman's spine.

Is there any actual evidence of completely fucked gear combinations or is this just panic because TYM panics?
