Favourite NRS Game So Far?

Mk9, it was before they started going all balls out for tourney players and it was all about the game. Swear to god if i see some pro players ask for a buff and get it again im just gonna quit altogether. So sick of that crap

So, I'll count that as one vote for MKX

My reason for the poll structured this way is that I took a long hiatus from video games and just recently got a PS4, and MK9 for my PC. I'm loving MK9, but I'm trying to figure out what my next game will be (either Injustice or MKX) for the PS4. I thought this would be a fun way of helping me figure that out... FWIW, I'll likely get both, but not at the same time.

I'm old enough to remember the very first Mortal Kombat in the arcades, but it was MK9 that made me aware of the competitive scene. If it wasn't for MK9 I wouldn't know about EVO, or the FGC as a whole. I had no concept of it.

I spent thousands of hours devouring Mk9 tourney videos. The meter management game fascinated me, the footsies intrigued me and the graphics were great (at the time). I picked the game up and had a lot of fun with it, so it gets my vote.

I actually wound up picking KI over MKX, so I can't speak on that game. The walk speed in IGAU is complete ass, but I'm playing it in preparation for my return to NRS games, with INJ2.

MKX hands down, had the best character choice, the best maps by far, the balancing was great, and the 50/50s weren't too overwhelming!

Hands down inj1 is my favorite nrs game. I can't even lie I no lifed that game would have made it to lv.100 if it weren't for WB account glitch that made me start over twice but yeah mkx comes next then mk Armageddon. I didn't like how the chars use to punch up in a diagonal position in the older mk games.

Well, I am an MK fan, first and foremost, so it's gonna have to be MK9 or MKX. Between those two, I like MKX more because of the better gameplay (more balanced, more responsive inputs, Variations system adds depth and variety, no overpowered cross over and jump-in attacks) and better graphics (the art style reminds me of the original MK, Raiden in particular looks awesome) and animations. Too many guest characters is a downside, but overall, for me, it edges out MK9 by a bit. I do love MK9 too though. Loved the storyline and the gameplay, and how it perfectly captured the vibe of the earliest games in the series.

idk why but I fuckin love that game eventhough it's amazingly stupid and full of all sorts of bullshit.
I'm not even a dc comic fan as all I read as a kid was Marvel stuff and barely knew like half the cast in the game (and some only from MK vs DC lol) but the concept just pulled me in.
Seeing super heroes in a legit fighting game going nuts with strings and even have an ability button (trait). Not to mention the over the top supers, using the environment and an awesome story mode.
As a MvC player and marvel fan it legit made me jealous, it did so many things right that i wish a marvel fighting game did. Seeing shit like how MvC Magneto fights with crazy mobility and shoots lasers just bugs me, it's a fun game/series but doesn't really do the marvel material justice as it's nothing like how they'd fight imo.
Injustice was what made me start reading dc comics and look into their other products and I'm now a huge fan of a lot of their stuff.

The fact that it also has so many viable playstyles in top play is also a big factor and why I have it over MKX, I like MKX but in reality there's no variety, the rushdown and crazy mixups are what dominates. The last patch helped a bit and there's more zoning but it's still a very biased game towards going in and just go ham with mixups. I like everything else about it though, the brutalities, variation system, story, better online etc.

MK9 was awesome but I dropped it due to the fact that all the characters I liked weren't really viable competitively so I lost interest.

Even with all of its problems, my favourite is MK9 by far. I just wish MKXI takes more from it than from MKX, gameplay wise.

MK9 all the way. IGAU was fun but the movement felt clunky to me. And MKX may be the most balanced, but it's balanced around the idea that every character should be complete and total bullshit.

Injustice, hands down. Wish I had never wasted time on MK9 and MKX was okay. Injustice... Injustice got me into fighters and is still one of my favorites, only surpassed by Killer Instinct.
