The unique character designs and the constant back-and-forth created by the unique combo system (auto-double(or manual)/combo breaker/counter breaker metagame) are the two main selling points of Killer Insitnct, imo. That and its AMAZING netcode.

It's all so very confusing.
Yeah, KI has the best netcode, hands down, of any fighter. No one is even all that comparable to KI in that regard.

Its a great game, it has a good mix of batshit crazy setup/offense and footsie-esque neutral. Its reasonably balanced (no game is perfect.. and FUCK YOU Gargos) but its really easy to get in to. The combo system has enormous depth, but you can pick it up and just *play* it relatively quickly and if you have a relatively decent fighting game BG you'll transition quickly and with little trouble.

More seriously Skullgirl has the best netcode from what I've heard KI is 2nd in most people's list

I have never heard KI being second to *anyone*... I know SGs has amazing netcode though, so maybe Im wrong. Ive played both but not enough SGs to know personally, Ive just never seen anyone say SG was better. Shrug, learn something every day. I wish i liked SGs... Sigh. SFV is cancerous, but I just cant find a new game for some reason.

Yep heard their netcode is as good but it gives you a lot more options about what you can do before the match(adjusting the delay etc) SFV though probably has one of the worst netcode from this generation new games and one of the worst recent rollback netcode

Yeah, MKX on release had worse netcode, at least for me, but after a year they got thier shit together and fixed it. It's really quite good now imo. But SFV has had time and if anything it's worse now than it was.

Yeah, KI is its own beast.

PS4 has Guilty Gear an KOF though. I havent been able to play KOF - I just have a PC.. But KOF 13, that released on PC a while ago, is a pretty amazing game.
