Batman Additional/Alternate Moves

AUS FGC represent!
Here are Batman's alternate moves:

- Advanced Parry (cost 1 slot)
Allows cape counter/cape parry to be MB

- Bat strike (cost 2 slots)
Replaces Character trait. Summons mechanical Wayne Tech bats that attach to the opponent and explode.

- Boomerang Belt (cost 1 slot)
Replaces MB up batarang. The MB Up batarang now returns to strike an opponent in the back instead of exploding.

- Taser-rangs (cost 2 slot)
Replaces MB baatarangs. All MB batarangs explode in a burst of electricity, stunning the opponents

- Dual Batarangs (cost 1 slot)
Replaces Batarang. Batman flings two batarangs straight ahead.

- Air-to-air Batarangs (cost 1 slot)
Replaces Scatter Bombs. Batman flings a single batarang ahead while airborne.

- Air-to-Ground Batarangs (cost 1 slot)
Replaces Scatter Bombs. Batman flings a single batarang downward at an angle while airborne.

- Evading Bat (cost 1 slot)
Batman rolls backwards from a wakeup and attacks with an evasive manoeuvre

- Cape Parry (cost 1 slot)
Replaces cape counter. Gives batman multi-hitting cape parry (like Injustice 1).

I do, however, think you have the ability to edit the thread title yourself under thread tools.

So far , the only thing they have out wrong with batman is that they replaced his cape parry with cape counter.

Now, his normal Parry launches the opponent away. He already has too many moves that do this.

It's cool for normal play if you can MB parry and launch the opponent, but he really needs his normal parry back in his move set.

It almost seems like he's designed to be a zoner in this game. More keep-away and less pressure based.

Does Boomerang belt allow for hard to blockables? Because I'm kind of tired of them from MKX.

I hope there's a mode that allows this much customization but without the stat changes. This gives Batman crazy zoning options and the boomerang could have some nice meaty setups.

It almost seems like he's designed to be a zoner in this game. More keep-away and less pressure based.
Well, I don't know at this point.

His batarangs received two nerfs.

1. They are now high.
2. They can't be meter burned when full screen.

This effects his zoning as we knew it, but its changed.

Now the threat of up batarang in the neutral is a real thing, especially now that it starts and recovers faster. Also, he can gets better free movement opportunities with straight batarang into dash forward.

The reason people only now realise that he in fact defensive is because they are only starting to realise that his strength is when people have to go to him, which these 4 beta characters do not have to do.

He literally has no real good forward momentum without a bat too.

Ugh those would be sweet in competitive play...
There is no way they are not going to allow abilities in competitive mode, that would be the dumbest thing ever. They are just like mkx variations and if you don't have them in competitive mode there is no reason for their existance whatsoever.
I understand that the stats should be disabled but the abilities need to be allowed!

I agree that they should be used. Everything I've heard so far has said extra moves are disabled in competitive mode.

That's literally the most illogical thing NRS could do, why would they put in work to develop all those extra abilities just so casuals could have their fun lol??

Can someone tag a dev to confirm this?

Competitive mode currently disables the alternate moves, but it is still a beta.

What I would like is a mode with all alternate moves unlocked (or a very easy way to quickly unlock them all for tournaments) with an option to disable the stat changes from gear.

Yeah, abilities need to be unlocked for competitive mode, period.

The gear specific moves get way too wacky and should not be allowed in competitive mode, even if the stat buffs can be disabled imo. You have to look at it from the perspective of the entire cast, and not just Batman.

I really hope so, too. It's going to be such a waste to have all these cool moves in the game that will never be use in tournaments.

Potentially, there could be some loadouts that make a bottom tier character a bit more viable. There should just be a mode with every additional move unlocked and still use the slot system so you have to think a bit before selecting your loadout. Each player would need to select their loadout before each game and be locked in to them on a win just like the variation system in MKX.
