Match Up Experience BxA Ragnarok vs RM Jago Blake

For those interested, I recorded the entirety of my set earlier with Rude. The first few matches were a bit of a feeling out process. From there it went in one direction and then another. It's rare I record something so long, though some may find enjoyment in spending the better part of 45 minutes seeing exactly how the set unfolded
.

It's easy to spot my mistakes and missed opportunities. The adaptation towards the tail end of the set was key. While I still missed several opportunities, ultimately the result was in my favor. Curious, now that a quick glance at a glaring oversight I had (due to a lack of up to date match up knowledge) How this set may differ in the future.

Nevertheless, for tonight anyway, I am the victor. Now, another has caught my attention, and I will come calling again soon.

49:10. That's interesting, so it's not always in Jason's best interest to go for an armor break set up against Mystic. Well I mean I guess it depends on the hit advantage of the normal you break the armor with.

I was able to play a longer set with Scarsunseen, an exceptional Cyrax player. It's been ages since I've played this match up, so much of it was guesswork. I did appreciate the level of adaptation as the set progressed and the setups became a bit more intricate. Many are ones I haven't seen before.
I am looking forward to playing this match up again.

Now, who has the insight as to some of these setups?

Well...could always just ask Scars.

Ermac is still my main. Tremor and TriBorg are pockets. I had a theory that Crystalline may have an easier time fighting Cyrax in the neutral.

I'll have some post patch Ermac matches for you next time. I'll tag you when they're up.

The best mediocre Batman
I meant more of being included in one of these sets. Would want to try Tarkatan or War God vs Mystic, and check the video later.

I have a lot of setups that require perfect execution to block with a very small amount of frames lol.

1) B3D4/bomb (low,low,overhead,low)
2) B1,2+4/bomb (overhead,low,overhead)
3) B4/bomb (low,low)
4) F34/bomb (low,low *risky*)
5) B1/bomb (overhead,low)
6) throw/bomb (throw,low)
7) far bomb/AA grab (coerces opponent to jump forward, then AA grab gets them)
8) B2/bomb (overhead,low)

You get the idea. I have a ton of setups and if I mess up, I can usually improvise into another setup.

Scars still entices me to learn that particular variation of Tri Borg, but the amount of work that goes into the character doesn't seem to be rewarded as well as other characters.

I've only been able to play Raptor on a handful of occasions. Though each time I discover something new. Of course, both times he pulled out a number of things I hadn't seen before. All in all, his was the best Hellfire Scorpion I've played in this game. His ability to mix kept me constantly guessing and in the end being opened up at every turn.

Honestly, I don't have faith in the Mystic vs Hellfire match up. Discussing with other Ermac players it feels 6-4 in Scorpion's favor easily. I did marginally better in the end with Master of Souls. Though Sektor gave me the best results of the 3. Which, needless to say wasn't great considering the extremely lopsided score.

In any case, I'll be reviewing all 57 or so matches total we played so that I'm better prepared for our next encounter.

A portion of some casual matches I played with Mr Aquaman and his admittedly infuriating Bo Rai Cho. This Variation seems terrible once he gets in. Everything seems to turn into a guessing game. Towards the end of the set I began punishing some of the mix ups a bit better with Sektor. Though I still feel very confident in the After Shock match up, far more than I did with Ermac.

I realize it's been some time since I've posted anything here in my own little slice of TYM Heaven. I've been busy lately between prepping for KIT, local tournaments & now Frosty Faustings, I haven't given much thought to recent uploads outside of the little Injustice 2 news we've gotten.

I did have an entertaining set earlier this evening. Decided to forgo Tremor and Ermac for this particular run, focusing solely on Sektor as I prepare for Frosty Faustings. All 3 in my arsenal need to feel polished.
This isn't the entire set, merely a portion played. Enjoy, and as always, good games~

It's been quite some time since I've done one of these. Though as I prepare for a few other smaller tournaments in the local area, I once again look to the higher skilled players for matches. It's been ages since I've played Lil Majin and it shows. It's rare I run into a Thunder God these days, let alone a Displacer. He hasn't missed a step. Was an interesting set, extensive so I had to cut down a considerable amount to showcase the 2 match ups at work. After Shock vs Thunder God & Sektor vs Displacer. Good Games as always~

Not a lot of backstory with this one. To prep for another Ninjutsu player on someone's stream in a set, I played several matches with Jago Blake to refresh my knowledge of the match up. I considered it something of a run back from our KIT match even though it didn't count for much. This was a sample taken of the overall 22 or so matches played.
