Question Did jump ins even change?

I honestly feel like it is unreliable to anti air jump ins how about you guys? They are still a 50/50 chance imo for certain jump ins. It scares me because of the jump in changes to certain chars like kitana, plus overhead full combo teleport into mix nook and possessed. Those chars are still hella hard to AA with the teleport moves and their regular jump ins are godlike. Honestly I feel like you can still get frauded with those moves. And it's even worse when a wild player jumps on you and hit you when ur trying to aa. Leik the jump ins are still hard to aa. Idk what do you guys think

Yeah the changes weren't enough to make AAs noticeably better however I have found more success AA teleports like ken and shin.

I find it easier to do Scorpion raw AA teleport on jump ins tho crossups are still hard to react to at times

Nope. Mileena still sits on you with her whole body when she jumps. Sub still has his (yep from a sub main ;) )
I haven't fought an alien yet but im sure his is still gay. (BTW why does everything get the blades only in tarkatan but his jump 2 gets the blade universally? NRS Logic). Scorps j3 is impossible. Lao used to do 30+ on his AA, but they fucked the gravity so now its tighter. (Paulo said it was a bug Ha xD ).

There's slightly better priority which i like, but maybe make it so that the ground normals have utmost priority against airborne hitboxes unless done too late and increase the hitbox buff thing they did by an extra one or two frames or something. It feels different and definitely better, but still bad.
 
I thought it was just me lol. It seems like shinnok necro with the skeleton arms has a crazy jump in and subs is dumb af. Its kinda bullshit when i read a jump in and still have to block. That was the one thing i liked about mk9 better....Johnny AA s1 allllll day even in lag lol

Some characters were just meant to have great jump ins. Don't act like every single character should be AA'd just because you hate people who jump (not saying this directly at the OP)

Just like how not every character has great AA, it doesn't mean aa's need buffs, it's so that character has a weak point or something of that matter.

However that's not to say SOME characters need jump nerfs or others need AA buffs.

Yes they did. This is part of the reason why Kitana's EX throat slice was so difficult to NJP because the hurtbox of jump attacks materialises significantly faster than the hitbox.

Sorry that jump attacks aren't all in one in the same and can't be covered with a single all purpose AA I guess? No amount of nerfs to jump attacks will change that.

Generally yes they have been nerfed, I have noticed standing 1's that never AA'ed Kotals and Aliens JIP's now AA them almost 10/10 more like 8/10 and thats if i time it right. but id say AA's arew so much better. and even online ar emuch better, but online id say its more of a Read and not a Cassie offline reaction aa with 1.

kenshi's j1 and j4 are kinda crazy too man
at least Kenshi's JIP1 is -2 on block. most Jump ins are Plus 2 on block. that was there way of saying here kenshi we gonna give you a viable tool but totally screw you out of follow up half of the time, and now you have to time it in a weird way other wise they will break it with armor.
 
The 1 frame-previous hurtbox was a big change.

There were jump ins at certain angles where it was impossible to d2 in a way that would get a clean hit instead of a trade, because you were essentially AAing their attack's hitbox, not the character.

Basically you take 5% dammy even though you did everything right. This happens less now.

But honestly, that fix screams "workaround" to what a real fix would have been, which is to have a priority system so AA's don't trade against jumps.
