Tech - Cyrax Cyrax best PRACTICAL combos and setups

Do people land the super long combos all the time? Like the
111xxbf1, df2, f43, df2, f43, df2, 114xxdd2, d2, then im supposed to do a grenade and neutral jump? the jump never works for me let alone the grenade doesn't come out sometimes

That's bad, do this instead:

111 exbf1, df2, f43, df2, 114 dd3, jump back 4, df2, upercut, dd3, njp, df3, f34, b2, run 4 db4

Grenade? lost me with grenade, do you mean Bomb? and which one out of 6 meterless ones possible?

@scarsunseen hey girly can you do this one for me so i can see it? i would love to learn this if its Meterless, i kinda want to start changing up my combos a bit now.

let me know if that a Pseduo Reset like Net into low bomb B1 or some other shit? or how many bars are in that one? or if it is in fact Meterless. and how fucking hard is it if it is?

or if thats a prepatch?

and can you show me these?

• f43 db4ex, 4 bf1, db2 BD, dd2, 4 db2, JB4, dd2, d2, db2, NJP, WB b2, RC 4 db4 - 43% 1 bar

i don't know why but i work better just seeing the combos than input notation, i guess its cuz i record every match and review and learn that way.

I like this much more. Seems much more consistent with practice. But I feel a characters hit box determines how easy Cyrax combos are. I feel Ermac breaks them easy

yeah its not so easy on Mileena im trying it now and wow. but yeah cyrax is like that, and online he is a nightmare, one tiny lag his combo is dropped or you can't do the NJP and it dropps.

Yeah. It's sad though. The neutral jump on the combo I'm practicing now is weird and the opponent isn't at the correct range sometimes.

thats somewthing i wish NRS would buff, Cyrax has a great NJP the range is good and all, but its Startup is like 14 frames, i mean WTF, when you look at other ones like Johnny's/Mileena's/Raiden's/Quan's they have fast ones like 4 frame startup to 7 frame startup. why does it have to be so slow. i think this is why the timing is so tight really.

It's easy, you just wait a bit before doing the jump back kick

My Cyrax Input TYM Notation key:

NJP= Neutral Jump Punch
JBK= Jump Back Kick
JIK= Jump in kick 3/4
JIP= jump in punch 1/2
FHB= Far high Bomb(DF2)
MHB= Mid High Bomb(DD2)
CHB= Close High Bomb(DB2)
FLB= Far Low Bomb(DF3)
MLB= Mid Low Bomb(DD3)
CLB= Close Low Bomb(DB3)
RC= Run Cancel (FF,BLK)
BLK= Block button
F= Forward/Towards opponent
B= Backwards/Away from opponent
D= Down on D-pad/Thumbstick
U= Up on D-Pad/Thumbstick
xx= means link a special on end of Normal/Combo
, = Separations from inputs, means pause in inputs like if i press 11 then pause then press 11 again id add 11,11 and it means just that.
EX= Block + whatever Special move, AKA Metered version of Special Move.


this notation should be adopted so others can easier read the Combos posted on here.

for some reason, i tried that combo, 111 xx EX Net, FHB, F43, FHB, 114 xx MLB, JBK-4, FHB, Uppercut, MLB, NJP, FLB, F34, RC xx 4 xx AirGrab.

and i found this to be easier: 111 xx EXNet, FHB, F43, FHB, F43, FHB, 111 xx MLB, NJP, FLB, F34, RC xx 4 xx Air Grab (around 31% setups for bomb if metered)

honestly any of them are too much work for the same amount of maybe 1-3 % more damage when i can do a 3 bomb combo and get same damage. His Damage Scaling is beyond Stupid.

I found so many of the multi-bomb set-ups pointless. More for styling on people than anything else.

Just get 30% and a set-up and its done.

Ahhh, damn. I'm considering picking up Cyrax so that's why I was looking, lol.

Edit: Mind you I got a million characters I wanna play though, but Cyrax really appeals to me atm.
