I'm not trying to hear ANY shit about Fox. The dude plays no less than 6 characters at the absolute highest level. The commitment, work, and raw talent is basically totally unmatched. I get people want suspense and parity, but face it: Dude is Jordan in 96; so much better than everyone else he might as well be playing a different game all together.
I don't think anyone is suggesting he isn't an absolute prodigy, the best in the world and the best ever in our scene, but by Christ him winning every Evo is boring as hell. Fair play to him and there's no reason he should ever stop considering it's free money and fame but it's kinda hard to get hype for a Top 8 when you see Sonic still in it. I know it's not like he's monopolizing majors, King, DJT, MIT, Dizzy, Scar and Hayatei (I think) have all won Majors in MKX but still it's just boring to watch Sonic annihilate people every time, every year.
Just qualified for Grand Finals, hasn't lost a game in Top 8, hasn't broken a sweat. Peerless, exceptional and brilliant, no doubt, but there's no hype or enjoyment in watching something inevitable click into place. I'm not taking anything away from Sonic, there's no reason he should care or change, I'm just bemoaning the lack of hype in NRS Top 8's when Sonic turns it on
