Mkx Story online and characters locked

So I decided to hop on MK. I find my story online and half of my characters are locked so I delete he game reinstall but the same thing issue is there so I look online says that my game has to download in the background so I leave my console on for a day nothing. I reinstall again restart my ps4 rebuild the data base nothing. I have no clue what to do. I left my console on for a day and my characters story and most importantly online are all gone. I have no idea what to do.
(I have a disc)

The behavior you're describing is an incomplete update. MKX (like a bunch of games) allows you to play it partially installed, which is great if you bought a digital copy and you're impatient but if you have a disc and sizeable update gets released (of which mkx has many) and you just want to play, you could get fucked. If you reinstalled off a vanilla mkx disc, it's gonna keep trying to pull the MKXL update even if you don't want it to.

I say look into your drive storage situation. I know on my ps4 updates start failing (and games start locking content) if I drop under 50 gigs or so even if I have way more space than the update needs. I'd say find a big game you don't give a crap about anymore (or that you can live without for a couple minutes) and trash it, then try getting MKX going (reinstall, or just try to restart the download / install thats failed). Once MKX is set, you can usually bring the other game back.

My point is, if you are missing characters / stages / modes you don't. Nuke it from orbit, free up some space, and try again. If you can't handle that or don't believe me, you should be having this discussion on an official WB forum with official WB support personnel, not assholes whose games work fine.
