MKX seems to do cross ups just fine imo. With how janky some ji hitboxes are back to block will fuck up a lot of blocks that should have hit behind that didn't. Anything that improves the neutral game I am for, just wish it wasn't B2B.How would that even work though? Cross ups are a huge part of the gameplay. You add a block button, you take that away. Also, having to hold back to block adds to the footsies game.
Cross ups are non-existent in MKX. The point of them is to make your opponent guess if the attack is hitting from the front or the back to which you'll either have to hold back to block it if it does hit from the front or hold forward instead if it hits from the back. Though, this did create a lot of cheap stuff in Injustice 1. lol With a block button, there's no guess though. Front or back, you'll block the attack either way.MKX seems to do cross ups just fine imo. Jump ins are pretty easy to tell when they'll cross up, it's the corner shenanigans where it becomes really cheap. 50/50's definitely need to be toned down though.Yea, maybe if the 50/50s are toned way the fuck down I'm ok with that, but the sheer amount of guessing gets really tiring after a while. I don't want to have to pray I guess the jump in right AND the follow up 50/50s, Actually feasible reliable anti airs will solve this problem too.
Most jump ins were not plus on block like mkx, you could poke out of the follow up unless they did the attack super late and since d1s led to full combos you could blow them up that way. Also d2s became pretty reliable in the last patch and also led to full combo. Jumping in injustice was way less of a threat than in mkxYea, maybe if the 50/50s are toned way the fuck down I'm ok with that, but the sheer amount of guessing gets really tiring after a while. This. And with cancels working off pokes and some characters having a good uppercut, you didn't just have to let everyone jump around free and clear. Most jump ins were not plus on block like mkx, you could poke out of the follow up unless they did the attack super late and since d1s led to full combos you could blow them up that way. The fact that the were unblockable by themselves weren't the problem.Am i the only one that likes unblockable interactables
loool Seems so obvious but this is two games now where this happens so I'm not getting my hopes up.Oh, my fucking god.
YES
How the fuck could I forget about this. This needs to be changed, absolutely.
Ideally, don't even show the opponents cursor at all. Counter-picking is some lame shit.
But, I understand why they might have to. At the least, if I hide my cursor, don't fucking hide it from me!
Jeez, that picking the wrong character by mistake thing is bullshit, and people love tricking people into doing that.
Everybody forgot about this, I guess nobody wanted to remember it .90-minute stage transitions.
Well, they all look tiny to me, I don't want MKX size, just a little bigger chars.Who was miniature? Haven't heard that before.
To a certain extinct i understand but..You honestly shouldn't even have to go to the character select on ranked matches.
My optimal solution would be on the menu where you are about to search for a ranked match, you could push R1 and a drop down menu pops up and you select your "favorite" character. That way you don't have to go back into other menus like with SFV.To a certain extinct i understand but..
I know a friend of mine and I like to play online ranked as sort of a couch co-op type deal sometimes..aka we would take turns on matches
SFV had this option...having to sit there go back to the options menu just to select a diff character didnt seem ideal
Then again idk i never had a problem with selecting my character in ranked over and over again cause sometimes i would pick some one diff just to mess around with..
For online matches get rid of the hide your cursor mechanic and just make it so that you don't see who your opponent picked until the match is about to start. This is what NRS really should start doing for all their games. The problem with the hide your cursor thing is that you can't see it either. And you may end up picking the wrong character by mistake.
If you pick the wrong character in hidden cursor it's your own fault. If you think you've pressed a wrong button come out of it.Oh, my fucking god.
