He is playing too many different games.am I the only one that sees something changed for sonicfox in mkx?
he plays differently and not quite as effective regardless of a win or a loss
no. Alien is broke. and mileena is supergood, but not everyone rolls like foxy.well mileena is broke and foxy is probably best in the world so no surprise there. also can we all agree that takeda's broke
Exactly, everyone should use Fisticuffs and BalancedGgs to everyone, but people making money with op chars always made me sick.
Shoutouts to Pl for still trying with Kung Lao, showing a very unique style, and great Ninjutsu performance, good luck at esl.

Not at all, people has to pick whatever it takes to win, that's competition. But that doesn't mean it's enjoyable for the audience.Exactly, everyone should use Fisticuffs and Balanced
i see what you did thereCongrats F0xy, hats off for pulling it
all three are in broke categoryno. Alien is broke. and mileena is supergood, but not everyone rolls like foxy.

But seriously, everyone did really well and congrats to foxy for winning.
You mean kl and ninjitsu are bottom tiers?Ggs to everyone, but people making money with op chars always made me sick.

You must be lost, turnaround and head back to the YouTube comment sectionman i REALLY wanted Hayatei to win, he was playing so god-like
dude just fell victim to yolo ex rolls...
Kung Lao is considered by some people as bottom tier (I don't agree) but I think PL proved it is still viable, just not autopilot as it was. Ninjutsu is probably top 10.You mean kl and ninjitsu are bottom tiers?
I completely disagree. PL was dwelling too much on his matchup with Sonic Fox. He let that go and that is allowing him to be the best PL he can be. He doesn't need to be stronger, just smarter - and he's clearly figured that out.I think PL's "change your character after each lost match, and never fully settle on a main" strategy is not sustainable, and it held him back in Injustice as well.
Obviously he's a great player who can learn characters quickly and become good with them, so based on that alone he'll always be a contender to make top 8's. But part of the reason for why he wasn't as consistent in Injustice as he was in MK9 is because he never just settled on one character as his main and learned his ins and outs, learned every match-up, etc... If you notice in Injustice, he had so many great sets, great comebacks, etc... but it seems like every set was a 3-2 struggle (or 2-1, depending on the format), where it's basically a toss up. That's also why he had so many 2-3 losses.
Basically, what he does is, after he loses one match he'll automatically switch characters and use that as a way to throw his opponent off. If the opponent can't make the adjustment immediately, PL will win the next match, then his opponent will adapt, and PL will switch characters again, and so on. You're not playing the percentages when you're doing that, and no matter how clutch you are, when every set boils down to a deciding game, one wrong read/input error/dropped combo/etc... can spell the end.
It looks to me like he's doing the same now in MKX. For instance, his Scorpion looked really good. But in top 8, he would pick him one match, win, lose the next, and just ditch him, instead of taking the positives, sticking with him, and adjusting. Likewise, when he picked Displacer Raider, he looked absolutely ridiculous. He lost that one match, but he should have stuck with him because he clearly was on to something.
I'm not criticizing PL or anything. He did great and it's good for the scene to see him do well. But for EVO, he should probably just focus on two characters at the most. I don't mean for this to come off as "random TYM'er telling 3 time EVO champ what to do," but from a distance, that's my observation. After all, what typically happens deep into a game's life is character specialists tend to shine. This tournament was a good example.
He does. Don't take him seriously.but he has directly said he dosn't do it for that reason?
agreed. guys a beastAlso, Foxy has now reached the Grand Finals of EVO, and won two big majors on American soil. This should give him a lifetime pass.
