Welcome to Test Your Salt!

Welcome everyone back to the Test your salt tournament thread, everyone seems pretty determined to play some tournaments online with the enhanced online hitting the game, despite whether or not GGPO makes it into Mortal Kombat X at the same time as KP2 is released I want to dedicate this tournament to the early adopters of Mortal Kombat XL/KP2.

All DLC characters will be tournament legal *subject to change*

Rules

Best of 5/FT3.
Please be timely, players who do not show up for their match within 15 minutes of Start will be DQ'd
Players who do not show up for their Losers match within another 15 minutes are DQ'd out entirely.

Connection issues may occur, in this instance we will try to do everything possible to connect the two players, if everything fails both players should try to connect to opponent in the next bracket, if one cannot connect they take the loss, If both players can connect to the opponent finally we will determine it on speed test, the player with least ping and highest Download will progress.

All DLC characters legal as stated above, however any infinites that may be found are banned, if a DLC character is completely game breaking however they will be banned, bans are all subject to change up until tournament start based on information we can gather about each DLC character.

Winners lock is in effect, losers may change character.
Stage select is free to your discretion.

Brackets are subject to change and of course if you do go out early you have the losers bracket to battle through.
As a host I will have "hosters luck" and do way worse than I should so i'm not planning on doing well either but they are good fun.

I'll try to remember to tag you when it gets going, I understand some of these are planned way in advance and easy to forget, I am guilty of the same thing.

Because this is not Injustice, stages are not a big decider in the game and mostly just a helping hand to some characters in the game.
Most people through my experience forget about the random rule and it's a pain to tell people to respect the rule when in all honesty it's not a deciding factor in most matches, if you want to take away someone's stage advantage you can choose your counter stage.
Also I do hope the new netcode is out with MKXL and stages such as Sky Temple wont be an issue despite my personal skepticism with this anyway.

If you could make a tags list for the tourney id like to be added too please man, also guilty of forgetting about a lot of these things.

seeing as the netcode isnt guaranteed to come out march 1st. that'll determine if i join or not. hope a lot of players join!!
