We might have to start going to the DC change the game locals. Unless someone knows how to get in touch with Xanadu to see if they still hold locals.

But if you can get something started please post it in here. I'm going to see if there is anywhere up my way that would let me host an event. At least in summertime we could have locals and be right at the beach so ppl can get the most out of the trip lol

Assuming there's some MK to be played, I'll be there.

Will leave work around a bit after 4 so should be able to beat traffic and get there after 5

Does this still happen consistently? How many people come out? If it's streamed, what's the name of the channel? I'm interested in coming out.

This happens consistently, yes. I try to keep the community updated by posting in the MD related threads and answering questions. If a week goes by and I won't make it, this DOES NOT mean the event is cancelled, only that another community member needs to step up and organize the set up.

This is a revival of an older event. As such, we've had 3 players consistently including myself and two regulars at Xanadu. However, many others have expressed interest. We are hoping for upwards of 10-20 so we can have a weekly tournament alongside of casual stream sets.

The Xanadu stream channel is VGbootcamp. The rule of thumb is "whichever game has the most support/ attendees is featured on stream." The stream is PG and has a dedicated following.

If you're interested, even slightly, I'd strongly recommend visiting. Xanadu is an amazing venue with amazing people. All skill levels are welcome, from casual noob to tournament pro. We've got what you're looking for.
