I meant that the difference between the beta and what we actually have is that you can punish if hits B1 and still cancels.How are you gonna punish him if b1~db2 connects on hit? You don't get to whiff punish squat with the change because it doesn't whiff on hit.

Where was this fear of eating B1 in to a full blown combo before? And if you block B1 he either does B14 which is easy to deal with or you armor/jump/backdash the command grab. Which means Kotal is losing however much whatever combo you choose does.
If you guess wrong and Kotal has level 3 then you eat 20% and he chucks you away.
So I ask again why all the fear? Sure this is a nice buff to Kotal and making his damage a bit more consistent but I don't get this "OH SHIT Kotal so powerful now." stuff. Maybe I read this thread wrong. But I just don't see this change as the one that pushes Kotal over the top. Heck pick grand master sub zero and go 1-0 against the Kotal lol.
Never mind the fact that if you knock down Kotal you can make it where he HAS to block you and completely ignore EX grab.Unless armor option selects are removed in the patch I'm doubting this will do much.

Thank God you replied before I do,they would have banned me.......This would be one of the most broken things in fighting game history. Only a true scrub would think this is ok
You can combo from crouch attacks with ANY move in MKX, it'll strictly be standing strings on grounded opponents.So...

For example, you do b14 db2 in sun god right?The command grab would whiff if you do it on hit right?But in the beta it actually combos on hit.I don't have the beta, but that's all i know.I'm still not entirely clear on this, what exactly ARE the new cmd grab mechanics?

A lot of people seem to be acting as if there isn't a hard counter to tick throws or something. You can just jump over them, unless that's been changed or something and I haven't heard about it.
This definitely shouldn't be a serious problem for competent players now that we have a netcode that doesn't fuck your reaction times.
