The fact that it means nothing, makes it fun to find. I dont know them all or claim to. However, the Toasty Boost needed absolutely to be known. Either know it, or give your opponent full meter. It was a game mechanic. This is not. What's the point of hiding the brutal then? It's not altering the course of the match.
I really hope maniacs here aren't comparing a hidden brutality to a toasty boost, that's insane.
That was my point. A hidden brutality does nothing while a toasty boost did more than something. The fact that it means nothing, makes it fun to find. I dont know them all or claim to. I'd be very curious to know myself. I know Ed Boon once said we never found everything in, I believe it was one of the original trilogy games but don't recall him specifying.
I've personally noticed "internet hate and drama" growing overall everywhere, not just here. And I don't mean the normal internet nonsense, I mean things getting really out of proportion.what is happen tl this communiti. alwayd fight otter every thing
Oh ok. But i tried to do not brutal, i tried to do 11212..... conversion, i tried slide 212 holding back, forward e.t.c. after 11212... I think its possible to do something simillar to Johnny s b12121..... 11212 animation looks not complet, not enough punches, you know what im saying. Or maybe its impossible lol.Not off of 112124 or 11212
it's not really everywhere, starcraft 2 has a fantastic community...it's a real shame though. Don't know why everybody seems to be a keyboard warrior these daysI've personally noticed "internet hate and drama" growing overall everywhere, not just here. Not sure why though.
Cool. I don't play StarCraft II, so I'm not familiar with it's community. I've noticed most communities (that I partake in, at least) becoming far more toxic over the last month-ish though.it's not really everywhere, starcraft 2 has a fantastic community...it's a real shame though. @Youphemism quasi bullet points here because your essay is well, an essay. I did read the whole thing, I appreciate you being clear as possible, but im not reading each time I want to respond.
Our disagreement stems from the fact that I dont think secret brutalities hold the weight of tech/MU knowledge and it doesnt actually matter of they're never found out, hence the fun in them. Ive only seen a few. I dont know them all.
I wonder? @colt @j360 @jamessmk Did we find everything from MK9? Anyway...
I've never once said that the people of TYM aren't a part of the community.
"Drama is what we're left with because the top players discuss things elsewhere"
Absolutely not. The atmosphere creates itself in a forum, consisting of the people who make it.
Sonic or anybody btw, doesn't have to share everything he knows about the game. No top player is afraid of others (everyone wants to beat Sonic, DJT, F0xy, etc) so I'm sure they're not worried about anyone else on the road to becoming a top guy. Maybe, if everyone worked as hard as Sonic or REO does, they'd be in their positions. Knowing is half the battle, true. Sure, having the info out there builds the communities' awareness, but at the end of the day this is still competition first and you have to know your fair share of info regardless. Sonic wins not because he knows more than everyone, but because he is better than everyone. Also, there's plenty lab monsters who know things top guys dont know and use for themselves - its players at all levels. I've played plenty of "unknowns" at every major I attend and I usually see something I haven't seen, or a slick touch on something already popularized. Are we gonna condemn them too? The realization is once somebody uses new tech they've discovered and we see it, there ya go. It starts to get broken down. That's the game naturally evolving. You were around for Injustice, you know how it works.
Overall, at the end of the day, I agree with you on most of your thoughts. The thing is, a lot of your points make sense, however they're misdirected. You're releasing your issues with how the community should be, here, anyway - and pointing your guns in a thread about secret brutalities, which I believe is literally is the most useless thing when it comes to everything you speak of. Finding tech, spreading MU info, etc. Its fun, and we'll have to agree to disagree here.
Edit - damn I wrote an essay too. Sorry Youph
I'll tell you in a pmYesterday in yomi stream they said they found something really stupid that completely destroys lao pressure. I said "what is it" and got hit with the "its a secret, youll see it in tournament". It doesnt get me mad lol, it is what it is. I find my own ways around characters but sometimes the suspense gets me lol.
Well first of all I'm sorry too, I'm glad we can keep this discussion mature and friendly enough. Apologies if I come across mad, I don't mean it. I just want what's best for the community and the game as I'm sure you do too. I tried to keep this as short as possible too lol.@Youphemism quasi bullet points here because your essay is well, an essay. I think people should work in teams for that...I really want to figure out this Erron one so I can move onto other characters. Just need to figure out what makes the Erron one work first before I trust myself to figure out the others.
Please @jamessmk tell me there's one for Jax's ragdoll brutality where he goes full Quan Chi and swings the person around forever. Also a Liu Kang one where he transforms into a Dragon. If those exist, my life is complete.
Also just an update to everyone. It is 100% not a 3-direction 1-button input at the win pose like it was for toasty boosts. I have tried every combination for that, god help me.
NRS normally make some sense with their inputs, so I feel as though you probably shoot the bird with some use of 1/2/RT. It would also seem weird if there isn't a forward in the input see as he points his gun forward. Using those as guidelines I'm going to be testing quad-directional button inputs. Here are a couple pastebins for combinations I plan on trying:
(Has a Forward, Ends in 1, 2 or RT as button): http://pastebin.com/zAMGs2LB
(Ends in Forward for direction, Ends in 1, 2 or RT as button): http://pastebin.com/RjFLwtWe
He said that was a fake hint lolSomebody hinted it happens at midnight, has anyone tried mashing 12 during the brutal?
Like, his back was facing the screen? If so, that's really weird.I made kotal look the opposite direction during his sunray brutality win pose . Not sure how I did it.
Ya, it was funny lookingLike, his back was facing the screen? If so, that's really weird.
Folks should just start mashing madly during Brutalities to see if anything happens. Only problem is, if something does happen, going over the footage with inputs turned on will do nothing. lololYa, it was funny looking
Im almost certain its got to do with stance switch, I just dont know when to input it.Folks should just start mashing madly during Brutalities to see if anything happens. Only problem is, if something does happen, going over the footage with inputs turned on will do nothing. lolol
