The AZ thread on TYM seems to be injustice focused, and for good reason. But are there some AZ players looking forward to MKX? Interested in competitive play, if only amateur or training purposes?

I am super hyped for MKX and plan to work hard to be at least relatively competitive online if nothing else. Would love to meet some MK fans in the greater phoenix area, at the very least.

Is anybody out there? :D

Mesa counts! I have a few friends who are curious about the game, but not huge fans. I feel like it might be easier to find local players once the game is actually out. But glad I'm not the only MK fan in the area.

Hello! There will certainly be a focus for MKX when it comes out; if you haven't already, seek out the TYM AZ thread on Facebook, and ask to join, I will make sure you are accepted in. The only thing I think will be consistent is that The Gaming Zone, located in Tempe, will probably be hosting casuals and tournaments when the game comes out. A really nice guy named Steve is going to help run those, and I'll make sure the news is put in this thread if the need arises. There are other folks working on some other things, and when/if those come to fruition I will also post them here.

What a day. What a lovely day.
I'm in Phoenix and would love to start attending weeklies/bi-weeklies once the game drops. I moved to AZ nearing the end of MK's life cycle and never really enjoyed INJ, so it'll be great to finally be able to level up consistently with an offline team.

Looking forward to playing with you guys. :)

I'm in Glendale, would be down to finally get some offline experience and help learning ins and outs of MK. Unfortunately, I'll really only be available over the summer.

Hey im from chandler. I been to a few mk tourneys and like 1 inj. Gave up on inj pretty early got a little bored of it for some reason but am super pumped for mkx. Definitely would love to meet up for ALOT of casuals upon release so just hmu if interested. And KingHippo if you could post any events on here i would be forever grateful

So here we are guys, whatcha think of mkx so far? I planned on maining a few characters but after playing did a 180 and found someone else I like lol. When are we gonna start sessions and where?

Hey dutes, I am newer to fighting games in general, definitely below the level of most people serious enough to get on this site. Buuuut I live in Payson (Central AZ) and there is nobody to play against at all! It's no fun destroying people that have no idea how to play, and it definitely doesn't help me get better. I would drive to the valley just to lose 50 straight casual matches, or 0-2 a weekly, I just need some fights! (Especially since so far, my online experience hasn't been too hot)... Add me on PSN BiggRognvald... I need some AZ training buddies! Help a dude out!

Man I wish you lived closer because we play in the Phoenix area every week. But i'm willing to get some online games in with ya.

Hey, i'll be sure to add you. And I occasionally make trips up to Payson so if I ever find myself there, i'll be sure to let you know and hopefully we can get some games in.
