Everyone spectating at my place couldn't help but cheer for you man. I'm from San Diego myself and you mentioned the SoCal scene both at the tourny and here in this thread. I'm pretty new to the FGC and I gotta ask, where can I start? I can travel every now and then in the area and I'm looking for some places to level up offline. I don't really have friends who play competitively. Any places you know where I can for locals and a healthy MK population?

I've done some tertiary google searches and only got some vague results. Maybe my Google Fu was just weak.
