I being a huge Mk9 fan and a Tournament player was very upset to hear this I hope that this is not going to happen There have been Numerous Rumors saying Nether realm Studios is tired of releasing numerous patches so there are lots of people saying this means an MK9 remake might be coming soon just like Ultimate MVC3 or SSF4AE. I dont feel this way but what do you guys think will happen.

Only if it means that they are going to fix the numerous problems that are related to the engine and make online worth a damn. If it's just for balance changes, then there's no point.

All patches & DLC included PLUS Shinnok, Reiko, Fujin, Tanya, Bo Rai Cho and more.... oh, and all UMK3 skins. :D

I have been thinking a lot about this lately for some odd reason. On the one hand, I don't want an "Ultimate" anything. Let Capcom rip off their fans, leave MK alone. But it got me thinking about what DO I want?

I want a game that can be a respected tournament contender. I see NRS as needing to make a decision between being fan-service and serious Kontender. Take out the gallery, put in a serious Practice mode, and for the love of all things gaming, TAKE OUT THE ONLINE MODE! I know that'll never happen, but let's face it; modern technology isn't good enough to create an online environment that could passably support fighters.

I didn't mean to de-rail this thread. Back on topic. UMK = BAD :grave:

Why do people keep comparing UMK9 to Capcom stuff? Sure, not wanting it is fine but just because 'Capcom already did it'...?

Do not believe these rumors unless it is confirmed by NRS themselves.

However, I would be very pleased to hear of a remake.

It could be good because I am getting a little tired of all the patches when you have a tournament to train for but id rather patches then having to drop 40 bucks for stuff that could have been patched but thats just me.
