Was only able to tune into the stream for a bit, but when I did I got a glimpse of Demolition Sonya - hype!! Will have to look at the stream for the Special Forces footage.

This was a great tournament. I really like the "pre-game" stuff that DailyDot did, though I missed the "half-time" show. Scar played great, and until he beat Korey, he wasn't even on my radar to win. I was looking at Alucard to take it, but yeah, lack of matchup knowledge is all I can say. LOL! "Lack of matchup knowledge" was the mantra of both the KI and MKX tournaments if you ask me. Both grand final sets were text book examples of not knowing the match up.

Regardless, congrats to Scar, and all of Huston in a way. They put on a Sonya clinic, a character that NO OTHER scene seems to have on their radar.

Pnut plays War God Kotal and doesn't counterpick at all, so he's often at a disadvantage against top tier. It'd be different if he was playing HQT Predator or something.

Not sure what your point is lol. I was just saying PL didnt make top 8 by the slimmest of margins. Pnut outplayed him but it wasnt free by any means.

Don't remember the startup. I'd argue it's pretty easily baited, but an EXCELLENT threat. If she doesn't have 2 grenades though, it isn't even a concern.

what a great tournament. as a detroit native i was rooting for alucard hard and was loving his tremor double down mixup. never seen DJT use that one its clever AF.

also that sun god was hype too. props to scar looking forward to seeing him play in some more majors soon

Lol this is very true. We're a state full of sonyas and I am unsure why other scenes can't see how good she is. Props to Scar for wrecking shit, and props to everyone who held it down and defended TX. AB is always such a great tournament.
