KOMMUNITY KOMBAT II PSA HERE
THIS IS AN XBOX ONE TOURNEY. IF YOU HAVE SIGNED UP UNDER THE ASSUMPTION IT'S ON ANOTHER PLATFORM, PLEASE PM THE NAME YOU SIGNED UP UNDER SO I CAN SUBSTITUTE YOU.
HERE ARE THE BRACKETS[1]
If you were part of the first Kommunity Kombat, you will remember that the biggest issue was rate of play, and that was greatly affected by players not knowing when their fight was (along with poor connection quality). With that said, I think we have come up with a pretty streamlined way to make sure everyone knows when they fight:
1) Log into your challonge account here[2] . Go to the participants[3] , find your name in the bracket and click on the phone icon, input your cell number and/or email.
IF IT DOES NOT LET YOU PUT YOUR NUMBER IN AND YOU ARE COMFORTABLE GIVING ME YOUR NUMBER, PM ME THE NAME YOU HAVE ON THE BRACKETS ALONG WITH YOUR CELL NUMBER AND I CAN ADD YOU IN MANUALLY.
2)Add your cellphone number and/or email to your Challonge account. Your number/Email address will NOT be public or given out to ANYONE.
3) You will be notified VIA text message 5-10 minutes before your fight is up. If you do NOT have a cell phone, PLEASE let me know so I can alert you via another source (email, ingame).
Taking into consideration that NRS will be tweeting out our tourney and the interest that it has garnered, we want to make sure this thing can go as smoothly as possible and help this amazing subreddit keep a great reputation. I know people have football to watch among other things on a Sunday night, so we want to have a great time but also keep the rate of play going steadily. With that said, in order to insure a steady rate of play, we have to implement a few rules considering this is an online tourney and to keep things moving:
Kommunity Kombat II will take place October 4th at 6pm EST and conclude on October 11th at 6pm EST.
It will also be steamed live on Twitch on this link.

- You have ~5 minutes to notify me of your status from the time your notification is sent. If you do not notify me of your status by that time, you forfeit the match. We just simply can't wait on everyone all night long to show up. This is why supplying a cell phone to receive text notifications makes things much easier.
- If you drop connection during a match, it is an automatic forfeit. I know that sucks, but it's just how things have to be in an online tourney. With that said, take measures to ensure you have the best connection available before your fight comes up; turn off the stream if you are watching it including any video streams (Netflix, Hulu, etc). Stop or pause any downloads or torrents you may have running in the background. IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, HARDWIRE YOUR XBOX TO YOUR NETWORK VIA ETHERNET. Make sure the only thing on your network demanding bandwidth is your Xbox.
- KNOW WHEN YOU FIGHT! Look at your position on the brackets and estimate when you should fight. A good average time to give each fight is 5 minutes. Do the math and KNOW WHEN YOU FIGHT. Again, this is why the text notifications help greatly.
