How many are ALSO on PS4?

Hey guys,

I was thinking about picking up an Xbox One (so I could participate in ALL areas of our community), but then I realized I would most likely ONLY play MK, so it becomes pretty quickly not worth it.

So I was wondering how many of us actually HAVE both systems, and which do you primarily play on and why?

How is the Xbox One community of MKX (randoms online, not TYM people) vs PS4?

and while we're at it, which Xbox exclusives do YOU think might possibly be worth a console purchase?

I really want to be able to play with EVERYONE for max levelup/matchup opportunities, but I'm not sure $350 is the price I should be paying for it.

Basically: MOTIVATE ME TO BUY AN XBONE!

I have both. KI for one mkx and destiny for 4. If you're going to play SF5 it's a no brainer.

OH YEAH! Killer Instinct. That was the other game I wanted. I'm just worried I wouldn't play it since none of my friends have an Xbox One. I'm guessing most Xbox owners were influenced by their friends having Xboxes as well? Everyone I play with normally has PS4, but does NOT have an Xbox One so I'd be pretty alone on the platform aside from you awesome people

I read the original post backwards my bad. I dont think the xbox is worth it for one game. I am glad I have both but you might want to wait for the price to drop more.

When it comes to consoles, always pick the ones your friends are on. You'll have more fun.

I have both and my xbox gets virtually no love whatsoever, also had serious issues using the console on wifi for streaming or just about anything for that matter. Idk if thats a first generation xbone problem or an individual problem, but as soon as I take it off the Ethernet it goes to shit. My ps4 on the other hand works wonderfully anywhere in my house off my wifi.

Yeah the WIFI on XB1 is utter garbage, have mine permanently Hardwired.

Short story:

they have their preferences depending on what you want!

XB1 has:

Backwards compatibility
Some exclusives
One Drive Storage. DVR that has trim and edit function is better
IMO a better controller
IMO slightly better online on most games.
IMO better layout and better features in settings
Can connect with my Windows 10 PC
Snap function multiple apps view-able at same time
(Snap allows you to check combo list and set it to right of screen while practicing them in Lab)
PS4 has:
Slightly better graphics
Better DVR that can upload to Youtube easily
Some exclusives
More people on it as of 2015 (most likely your friends will be on this one)



This decision should not be made only for MKX!

i gave my Fightstick and PS4 to my Brother and got this XBox One and im not looking back.

to me for MKX alone, the online is garbage on both.
the longer the game was out the worse the connections got!
from 4frame Input Lag to close to 60Frame Input Lag on average!

Well, I already have the PS4 so I'll probably just stick with it and not bother at all on the Xbox since it seems that most people agree when they have both the Xbox is the one that goes untouched. You can trim videos on PS4, btw. Just not in the same screen that lets you upload immediately. You do it from capture gallery and then upload from there. It's an extra step but it's there.

Also, you DO have to buy Plus to play online with PS4.

I appreciate everyone's input, I'll just hold off until the rest of you move over to PS4 lol. I know you'll be tempted to the darkside eventually.

yeah your right about the trim feature, but yeah, i think the XB1 version in upload is better. ohh snap....


i forgot to mention the Snap feature in XBOX one

you can snap the internet to the right and go back and forth while playing a game... i think this feature is awesome. thisworks with any app, including skype, youtube, TYM on IE.

i wish these Console's XB1 and PS4 both would smarten up and ADD FIREFOX to their systems

i look at combo videos/Tech while playing in the Lab... it is so much easier than going to another room to look on PC

I love my Xbox, but that's because I like the games that are on the platform. I mostly play Gears and MK. It's been that way for years now, but I am interested in ReCore. ESL is on XB1, so it may be worth it depending on how good you are. Otherwise, go with the platform your friends are on.
