@SaltShaker are you still playing and enjoying T7?
This is a tough question to answer. Now that I have more exp I can though.
I've been playing it like crazy, but since the rumor mills are saying it may release a whole year from now at the earliest, I've played a little less. About once or twice a week now. I'll probably play about that much going forward. This is for a couple of reasons. I agree with most of what Slips said about issues plaguing Tekken except the characters. I think the characters are still vastly different from each other (though some are stupid in design) which is a strength of the game.
1st and foremost, now that we've run through the roster, new chars, changes, etc, there's no avoiding the obvious. It's almost the same game. No way around it. Even with changes to old characters it still feels exactly the same, but nerfed. There's nothing new for us to learn anymore. We know the chars, know the mixups, know the optimal damage options, and we're even using some of the same frame traps and setups that we have used for years. Our most played MU is Bryan vs his King, but we play it literally the exact same way we played it 10 years ago. Too same-like. We can't really learn anything so we are already playing at a high level now. In a lesser version of the same game. I prefer the old oki, old side step, old wall game, old throw game. We're both feeling it now because it's too simplified overall and the lesser depth is a little annoying now that we have played for a longer time. It's still Tekken, but now even I wish they would have changed it somehow significant and I never thought I'd say that, or just not dumbed it down as much.
The characters still hold true. They still feel unique, up close mind games are still epic, things like that are still strong. New characters play absolutely nothing alike which is great. Game is as balanced as one can be which is always good. Comeback factor is still there. When you win or lose it always feels like you lost to the player and not the character (unless you're fighting Shaheen). Lots of the great elements are still great too.
All in all, it's still Tekken so my loyalty will always like the game, but it's probably not as good as TTT2 or T6 to be honest, it's just newer. I do enjoy playing it and will be able to play it a long time because it's Tekken, but I think someone like Widow will love it as he picked up the series in TTT2 so it's still fresh for him, where people like us who have been playing Tekken since PS1 and arcade tourney days won't "love it" from burn out, but we'll think it's ok enough to play.
The main thing I love is Tekken's style of gameplay in many ways. The main thing I wish was that I could "learn" something. "Grind" something. Instead of just mastering Bryan again for the umpteenth time in half an hour.
