New Yomi Tier List after The Big Patch 9/1+

Yeah, that top eight at our local surely convinced us.


Predator isn't S tier anymore like he used to be. He lost his 50%+ BNB combos, he has double damage scaling added to smart discs and lasers, low laser hitstun has been reduced so he doesn't get free disc summons on hit anymore, his 3 becoming a high was a big nerf and hindered his 50/50 and rushdown since 3,2 string had some of the best cancel advantage, his instant air disc was nerfed and now he can't do lockdown set ups anymore, his d+1 is no longer plus on block which is night and day compared to his old poke and standing 3 mid meta, his straight laser was given more recovery frames, etc.

Is Predator still high tier? Yes if you're talking Hish Qu Ten. But let's not act like he's still S Tier like he used to be and that the nerfs didn't affect him.

100% agree with the Predator analysis He's been nerfed too many times to be S tier. Very close sure. Hunter is definitely not the same as it was before the standing 3 mid to high nerf. Warrior isn't even worth mentioning.

Kano is bottom teir. He has no winning match ups. It's either even or losing. People who think cutthroat is good due to possible damage is brain dead asf.

Cage is a bit to high. Id put him in A and put Sonya, EB and Jax in A+. I think those 3 are better. Kitana and LK I can see being in A as well.

I feel like just saying character and not variation keeps an accurate tier list from happening.

you know that Cage is not that high!!

but if you still think so, explain why he is that high... this tier list is far from finished, there are no explanations, no Variation placement, No Level Explinations, No MU brackets, so its very easy for even the best to place them in incorrect places within tiers and some have variations that deserve higher placement than overal placement of character.

@cR WoundCowboy just because u can armor thru the f4 string to hellsparks doesn't mean u cant bait the armor and make ur opponent waste meter and get punished. Also what happens when they have no meter? Oh yeah get chipped to death. Also cage has:
*Jailing cancels
*Good zoning
*D4 and f3 control footsies extremely well and d4 kills multiple mids by going under them/ wakeups
*-4 armor move that is great for counterzoning and can only be punished by neutral duck on a read
* Solid anti airs (d2 and Standing 1) also ex nutpunch
Cage is a very good character and i cant wait till A list players get ridiculous with their cancels and pressure.
@Pig Of The Hut , kenshi is still viable, doesnt matter if he is in B tier.

We are ranking characters on all their variations, not just one. Mainly which ever one is best for a match up.

And the characters are not in order in a tier group, just together.

Question. Why not, though? Do you believe variations are not unique enough to be considered characters in and of themselves? Does high tech Jacqui have the same MU against Mournful Kit as FA Jacqui would have against Assassin?

Context being lost on the internet, I ask this with respect and genuine curiosity.
