This shit had me laughing out loud, followed by a... "You fucker."

And what's with all the Jaycee hate? She had one of the best troll taunts ever...
Haha! That's gonna be a rough Week 1 for you lol! Look at it this way though. At least you'll level up 100x faster than just playing other new buyers on release. :D

It annoys me everytime I talk about T7 now considering we are in the damn dark about console. I don't have the luxury of being near any test location and at TFC I heard the main tekken game at FR will be T7. If this is true I'm starting to get pissed off because we lose by default to Japan and Korea. I'd be traveling 9 hours to enter a tournament for my main game series that I can't really practice for. Such crap.
Does Asia usually travel out here for all the T7 tournaments? I know they did for EVO but didn't know they do for lots of the other tourneys as well. Hope they stay their ass home when the first NorthEast tourney happens after console release so I can win before people catch up to the game and look like Sonic Fox. :coffee:

That's exactly how I'm looking at it, super excited to play. Won't mind getting bodied by my lack of legacy Skill or your knowledge of T7 or any past Tekken's. Will be happy to lose and learn from it, and even happier to have my character respond instantly to what I'm doing on the controller [Fuck you Ed].

Besides, I'm gonna annoy the fuck outta you with repeated empty Cali rolls and AOP. :DOGE

Haha yup. That's all it takes and you'll be taking sets in no time! It is gonna feel good playing on like its nothing though. I think that's part of the reason why I got so good. Everyone can't live at the YOMI house so when I did play offline whatever I took from that I would go practice first at what happened to me and the play online after to make adjustments. Or people I met play them online on the regular while we both leveled up massively. That's gonna be by far the best part!

Ugh. Just thinking about this makes me roll my eyes. Nothing gets me more frustrated than the Yoshi/Ling/Lei types of mixups. Don't dance around, fight me lol!

I'm tempted to use her myself because I know she'll be a strong underused character. I hope they keep most of this intact by the final version but I'm sure they will. Loving how most of the characters play. I feel like I like TOO many characters in this game where as in MKX I never really liked more than 3 on the whole roster and now only play with Jacqui.

Josie is too good though. Anytime I think I have her down I discover some new tech from either watching vids or experimenting against people. Another complete well rounded character while being very unique. The only thing I could see sway people away from her is the execution requirements on some of her BnB's and the mind games/reads it takes to land her CH combos. On reaction a couple of her BnB starters like F1+2, F3+4 CH (one of my new fav moves), WR 2 1, etc have some very tight timings. I just started getting them consistently around 8.5/10 times but they took a lot of practice against the cpu and people and I probably won't be at 100% with them for a little while longer. Her other BnB starters like DF2, CD 2, UF4, Stance CH 2, etc, have huge windows that you deserve a slap if you drop the combo. I was gonna make her my co main but she'll be the first character since Tekken 5 to move Bryan down to co main and take the lead dog spot for me.

With so many of the new characters having easy combos, easy setups/mixups, easy strats, I can see her being less popular than a lot of the new cast even with her being as strong as she is.

I've been watching some stuff and it's feels good that when I see a law combo or some CH tactic I can replicate the inputs in my head. Tekken combos are forever ingrained in my brain.

@SaltShaker What's the status on the write up man? I see you're not too busy to post pics of you playing

To Light up the mood

Pretty sure they remixed that for T2 or T3. Man those were fun times. Shoutouts to my uncle for being a fighting game fiend.

Shes worth the efford then...complex character are for the smarter players who dont rely on cheap moves like some capos players.

Haha I didn't know you guys still wanted it. Yea I can definitely finish it and post a descriptive one out. The only characters that would be missing is Lars as neither one of us play him in the slightest so we didn't give him a run at any point.

It is very fortunate that me an my friend play so many characters but very few of the same ones, and then called dibs on the new members lol.

Yea I agree. When characters are too easy to play my brain gets bored and I have to use someone else. I prefer the challenge+reward than ease of use. Not saying they have to be DJ, but just not Shaheen.

Lucky I don't have to deal with that, overseas lag :p

Really though how can they have no Lei in Tekken 7, hopefully they bring him back soon.

I was just talking about this half an hour ago lol.

It's tough to say. Lei is well known, but isn't "iconic" like the Paul/King/Yoshi characters that you know 100% are always in. At the same time, he's been there since T2 and his fighting style has been one of the most unique in the series for so many years. He has a feel of a character who "you gotta bring back" but also the feel of "replaceable".

I think he'll make the final cut. I don't picture Lei as being one of the Bruce/Josie Anna/Katarina Marduk/Gigas replaced type of deals, and I don't see him and that moveset being erased from the game, so I think he'll survive.

Ir's ok man. Just be honest and say you haven't made any progress in it cause you're too busy bodying scrubs/families during your lunch break at D&Bs.

Main reason why I had to pick a secondary after learning Cassie. And that process took forever. Ended picking up SG KK and MoS Raiden so I have enough challenge to match my Cassie lol.

Unless they are doing time release characters, I hope there will be some in the console version.

I still feel release will be next year from some of Harada's comments, so I think they'll release morw in the arcade and then maybe save some as console release or timed release after like in TTT2. They say the roster will be 34-35 characters so that leaves about 7-8 left.

Gonna go get some games in after I get off in a couple of hours. This is killing my MKX gaming haha.

I want tekken 6 Julia in this please.

Was my favourite Chang moveset by far. Mad axes, df1 into combos. 1+4, miss those.....
T5 and T6 Julia was the best shit ever. I have my fingers crossed that that's the version we're getting. Her moveset, technique, and fight plan was amazing. She has to return.

We'll be lucky if we're playing it this time next year. 2017 is also a possibility.
If this game doesn't get released until this time next year the competitive advantage is going to be a little TOO unfair lol.

This is actually more likely especially if they do a major update
In reference to a BR type version of Tekken 7... Harada specifically said when questioned about it, "Look back at past Tekken release history". It is highly likely that we won't be playing this at home for more than one years time from now, only to watch streams, YouTube's, NicoNico's and have it feel old on day one of playing it. Social Media, streaming and YouTube weren't as big back in the day, and this Arcade marketing model will undoubtedly hurt console sales. Of course we're all gonna get it but, It's gonna be half played out by that time to be honest.

I'm sure the console version will have some exclusive content [characters, stages, music] but... before I even get to play, I will know every optimum combo for all my characters and will not have the freestyle type combo fun or oki set ups that TTT2 had. At least I'll have a solid tested balanced game with working online. As far as attracting newcomers with the dumbed down and newly added mechanics, good luck. Not gonna lie... The game looks just like TTT2 with about 90% less options. What Tekken needed was to take full advantage of it's customization ability, not dumb shit down. But sadly, I'm still seeing the hideous comical customization pieces from TTT2. And in tourney in the states, we'll be seeing mostly the same costumes we've seen for years while the game looks identical to TTT2 graphically.

Harada said this would be a darker Tekken... Yeah Harada, I'm shakin in my boots from this Neon rainbow colored Gigas with a fish on his back and an ice cream cone in his hand. Damn shame what could have been added, but I guess they just have some aweful taste when it comes to customization.

If it's T6 BR style we're doomed.

I know during T5 I was full blown in daily arcade mode and it came out on PS a couple months after we were playing in the arcade. Maybe like 3 months after arcade if I remember correct. Then they did the T5 DR update like a whole year later and raised the price on the customization cards, but DR didn't hit PSN until later that year. So we would have to home practice on the T5 version and go to the arcade to compete because Lili and Drag weren't on the home version yet lol. If he did something like this I'd be very happy and we'd get it sooner.

I think TTT2 took about a year from arcade to update to console too, or something like that.

Now it we're talking about Tekken 6, well let's pray to the God of Gods that it won't be done in that route... -.-

Was so looking forward to some news this week at TGS, and now Wonkey is hinting at a Dec. 12th T7 Tourney, and that's not even guaranteed. Just wanna play the shit already, but with SF5 now blocking a couple quarters marketing wise. Not looking good. All we can do is hope i guess, so that's what I'm doing. Just so fucking fed up with this MKX shit online, pretty much wrote it off already, practically ready to uninstall.

I hope MKX next DLC fail miserably [Yes I'm bitter, fuck you NRS, you are literally a piece of shit!] and even though I'm hyped for Tekken 7, I also hope it fails console sales wise to teach them a little something about how to get with the fuckin times.

All these sick games that I just can't play due to garbage ass online or dumb fuckin release strats. So fuckin bored with every game right now. We'll at least I get to watch. :(

These are the things that worry me the most. Shit I'm already playing it. So if it takes too long to release I'll feel like it's an "old" game, more than I already feel on a game that doesn't change much. Playing the Bryan vs King MU is still played literally the exact same way I played it 10 years ago lololol. Some people say why are the older characters move list so big, but to me they feel too small and need more moves! There's no way the game will feel fresh if it takes too long to release for me.

It does feel like an upgraded but watered down version of T6-TTT2. There's still more than enough of the old Tekken in the game to dominate newcomers so I don't know if their way of making it "more accessible" was the right way. Yea it's easier, but it's also easier for me to dominate newer players by knowing the game inside out and having to worry about less threats from opponents. The one and only major change that I like is each character having a focus cancel attack. That actually adds some depth, it is balanced in risk/reward, different per character, etc. Shit like nerfing universal mechanics and adding Ultras makes me cringe. Ultras make me die a little inside every time I'm hit by one. Godlike neutral/poke/pressure game in full effect and then a fuckin ultra comes out to kill you because it interrupted a gap in your string for 40%. Worst change ever. Worse than Ultras, worse than XRays, worse than any super ever added in a game. I won't even shake a dudes hand if he wins like that. That's how much I dislike them lol.

I'm holding out that they're saving the customs for later. I'm hoping. T6 had it PERFECT so I don't understand how they took a step back in TTT2 and then seem to be doing the same ones in T7. Doesn't even make sense so I'm reallyyyyy hoping there's more coming. I'm going to be massively disappointed if the same coat and armor suit is there for Bryan again lol. There's no way to avoid the half naked Kazuya's with a bamboo stick floating on their back while wearing green underwear and yellow shades though. Just be sure to never lose those matches to avoid crisis levels of salt.

And as for "darkest Tekken to date". Yea ok Lucky Chloe, Gigas, and Claudio. Sure.
