Could "Ultimate Mortal Kombat X" be coming? [SPECULATION]

I think they should add a second Kombat Pack with 4 characters. Then add the UMKX just like the OP wrote. This game is going splendidly from what I can tell. The UMKX could really focus on expanding the story, stages, and things other than simiply new characters.


I really love MKX and hope it doens't disappear after 2 years.

man, they(NRS) probably already talked with Warner by now, at this point is early, but, later this year, they will do it(well, at least announce it) i'm sure, cuz, Warner wants more money, and NRS, wants to make more content for their game... win win situation, for both... lol

All I have to say is, I expected a UMKX from WB/NRS this time around but I don't know. They only have so much time to meet their deadlines for IGAU2, unless they aren't just on a continual 2 year cycle.

I'm surprised they don't release more content tbh and just make it a three year cycle. It'd only make more money.

- if you look at the date of the klassics tweet, it's around the klassic fatalities were announced, they may have discussed klassic stages too, but i think boon meant the fatalities
- unless a kp2 is announced, all those character speculations are useless
- data found in the game's code on pc just shows they were working on something that apparently didn't make the final cut
- as the goty time approaches, most if not all speculation is pretty much useless, since nrs released goty editions around the same time for their other fighters
- and lastly, all those hints are just answers to tweets, just because it's what people do on twitter.
All in all, I hope they do release a 2016 edition with better netcode because this is the most important this game hopelessly needs.

I also remember Ed asking people if they wanted to see more Variations on Twitter. However, I can't find a link to these discussions. Anyway, people seemed to like the idea of more Variations, so it's possible we could get more.

I have not heard this, but I think it is a really GREAT idea. I would love to see some new variations.

Even worse then. Could mean they planned to add a stage and didn't, which means they won't unless a KP is announced. Or GOTY containing bonuses, which would be a pretty good move to motivate people on buying the game one more time. Fingers crossed.

I agree with everything you said Gamer86, I'm gonna stay strong on this theory as well. I made a couple topics on it on GameFAQs, but they rather talk about how gay Kung Jin is, and how nice Takeda's ass looks, and other dumb bullshit. Fucking immature morons..

But yeah, Boon did post a lincoln MKX, shortly thereafter, MKX was revealed. A 2016 version on lincoln MKX, I think it's a pretty strong hint towards UMKX or whatever they'll call it.

I do hate the pattern that NRS has but WB is at fault there. Hopefully they are changing strategies this time around and supporting the game so it doesn't die out. I love MKX and would love to have more content on it rather than a KP2 with less content. There's just way too much demand for more characters and content, they'd be just literally fucking stupid to ignore this fact. I just want them to use MKX as a platform and keep adding stuff, whether it be a one time upgrade to UMKX, or just monthly content added on until the last patch or whatever.
